Honestly, I don't give a fuck if people hate this film. It is probably my favorite movie of the last 10 years. If that makes me a casual then I'm a fucking casual.
>>214377962I gave it a 6 and I was being generousI am also a casual, I just wanted something to happenThe only good part was the moon buggy bandits part that everyone bitches about, and granted, it was pretty nonsensical, but not as bad as the "ooops whoooooops we all slipped on a banana peel and depressurized and asphyxiated except the guy who came in uninvited what a comedy of errors" bitAnd certainly not as bad as the entirely wooden performance of the dad>b-but it's about depression and mental illness so really he was doing GREAT acting or somethingOkay!
Good for you for enjoying it. I found it boring and retarded but I'm no movie buff either. Finding something you like in these dark times is hard enough. At least it's a white movie not some pozzed niggerfaggot garbage. Good for you for enjoying it
i thought it was about a guy called Ed Astra and when i turned out the be some space movie i checked out
>>214377962I also liked it (from what I remember). This is the one where he goes to Neptune or some shit through a wormhole, right? I dunno, I went through a space phase a few months ago and could be mixing up movies. Anyway, if it's that one, it was okay. Nonsensical at times and the payoff was meh, but I remember liking it.
>>214377962shit movie about daddy issues.... in space
>>214377962Funny Space Baboon
>>214377962I liked it too
>>214379325pretty much impossible to not make it sound kino
>>214377962>Honestly, I don't give a fuck if BLAH BLAH BLAH (so i made a thread)Who cares if someone doesn't like what you like? You didn't produce Ad Astra, you didn't direct it, you didn't even work on it or bankroll it. You are just some guy mad that someone made fun of you, who cares. And I'm not talking about making a thread, you can make a thread all you like.
>>214377962It is one of the worst films ever made
>>214379522>You didn't produce Ad Astra, you didn't direct it, you didn't even work on it or bankroll itYou are assuming a lot
>>214377962I barely even remember it. was tommy lee jones in it? or was that interstellar?
>>214378015Based
>>214379843yes he is. its a very cerebral movie, corporate secrets. its also nihilistic about how we put a moon on mcdonalds and how gay we are.totally get why OP enjoyed it, as i did too.
>>214379889>moon on mcdonaldsmcdonalds on the moon*
>>214377962More like DAD astro...naught.
>>214377962Is this the film with Brad Astra?
>>214379935Are you trying to tell me that he's some sort of...Dad Astra?
>interstellaryikes>first manautism action>ad astracinema
>>214377962if you guys dont mind me spoiling and sperging the dad plot doesnt really represent "waaah my daddy" and more like "u just rotted alone bro... why"
>>214379935(d)ad astra(y)fucking genius
>>214380180It's never been more over.
>>214380055also his dad is sci fi uncle ted
>>214380410this scene. they're trying to paint his dad as the enemy of a terrorist attack, brainwashing him (pitt), before they even bring his dad up. and pitt knows too, he knows its his dad. very tense.
>>214377962the ending is lazy, and the trip from mars to neptune taking basically zero time is retarded. Took me right out of the movie.
>>214377962I like the visuals but it was truthfully and unironically boring so they added some retarded moon chase that was also retarded
>>214377962watched it on shrooms with buddies, it was a bad idea. the murderous space chimp leveled us. the entire movie seemed preposterous - moon pirates, space chimp, hijacking a launching rocket, fist fighting his dad in orbit at the far end of the solar system - but that might have just been the drugs
>>214377962It was amazing, and f1 is fun. Whatever Pitt thought, be made right calls
>>214381112the moonchase signifies how gay space exploration will be if we're all globalist competing nations with starbucks naming our lunar bases
>>214381833
>>214377962Good movie.
>>214377962even the stupid monkey scene that people treat as a stupid jump scare... its so deep, god this movies underrated thanks OP for reminding me about it.
>>214382445
Killing the crew of a ship over daddy issues was a bit much.
>>214382537Actually a really good scene. He doesn't use violence, or barely any. All the crew die because they get fucked up by their own mistakes, driven by angst and bloodlust.
>>214382514>only living creatures Brad Pitt encounters (besides humans)wow so deep
>>214382616kek true, but theyre basically NPCstheres a part where theyre all popping happy pills and he hides away to put it in his pocket
>>214377962>muh Gnosticism>muh Satan is muh GodI’m done with ((Hollywood))
