I'm not OP, but I'd draw my line at watching anything worse than a web-dl. If you watch the lowbitrate yify microencodes or streaming sites I'd say you're out
>>
>>214388660
same also applies for "official" streaming sites, provided proper sources are out

There's no movies worth torrenting anymore, music is free on youtube, all the software is open source and videogames are denuvo'd. Pirate culture is dead
>>
>>214388822
it was on life support after Netflix and Spotify dropped for sure. Loads of games aren't denuvo'd, or it gets removed after a while. The streaming ecosystem getting fractured into dozens of separate services with price hikes across the board has brought it back in a big way
>>
>>214385816
>plex
I didn't look too much into this. A friend said he "used it for his torrents." Is the main pro of it above SSDs that you can access content in your account with just an internet connection and your personal credentials, rather than using your physical drive and USB ports?
>>
>>214389193
plex($$$) and jellyfin(FOSS) are both selfhosted streaming servers you can use to stream your own files to other devices
>>
>>214385961
Do you live next to /tv/ browsers?

It's the only public site where you can find active seeds for stuff that isn't on the IMDB Top 250
>>
>>214385872
I have a decent taste in movies.
>>
>>214389316
that's rutorrent, the webui for rtorrent, not rutracker
>>
>>214389248
That could be useful. Is the visual quality decent if the original files are high quality and the systems running everything are fine?
>>
>>214389316
>It's the only public site where you can find active seeds for stuff that isn't on the IMDB Top 250
literally not true at all. You need to use the search plugin for qbit.
>>
>>214389386
>A ncurses-based command line torrent client for high performance
>To learn how to use rTorrent visit the Wiki
I take it back. This is probably something /g/tists use to purity test other anons
>>
>>214389426
if all the network and playback hardware is good, it's top quality
>>
My movie folder has only 200GB, and half of that is anime. I have a long way to go.
>>
>>214389468
it's really good for running on a server or raspberryPi, not a great desktop torrent client
>>
>>214389443
>use search plugin on qbit for a movie I can only find on rutracker
>the only seeded torrent it finds is the same one from rutracker
Let's face the facts, no one other than slavs want to seed semi-obscure stuff on public trackers.
When it's posted to 1337x or formerly RARBG, the torrent dies within days. I've tried reviving those torrents myself with no luck getting others to seed.
>>
>>214389753
just use Jackett so you can search rutracker and a bunch more sites through qBittorrent too
