My hope is that Eyelene is not an entirely malevolent creature like a xenomorph, even though it's entire biology and what it can do with it is pretty horrific. It would make for an interesting character and I'm sure Wendy will be able to talk to it. It doesn't actually need to infect a host to eat or to hunt, I don't think that's how it even eats, but like anything it has a survival instinct. So far it's attacks and infections are:>the cat which was already dead, unclear motive, maybe hiding>attack on the redhead android girl, could it sense that she was artificial? There were others there that could help her defend herself as well, maybe it was just to scare them off and it didn't want to host her, or maybe it did>the sheep at the Prodigy facility, it hesitated but infected the sheep shortly after it was "offered". It strategizes and analyzes and never acts out of hunger, just like Frank Semyon>it had an opportunity to attack and host the biologist, and the captain, on the ship, when she hid in the lab for a few seconds with the captain, but it didn't>it hosted the Russian only to attack the xenomorph, and was surprisingly effective at slowing it down by targeting it's weak spots, which we've never seen before. Here Eylene showed that she can mimic "animal" calls, through the human, another testament to her intelligence. Up until now for 50 years in the Alien franchise, in Human v Xeno CQB situations, the human always loses in half a second but here thanks to Eyelene a human being actually held his own. Eyelene also knocked out the captain unconscious before the fight and she had a few more minutes to live as a result.
