Curb is funny but the insights you get into how the super rich live is offputting. Particularly Cheryl, which I suspect is not far off from the real life version Cheryl Hines in terms of being born with a silver spoon. These people live fantasy lives, there is no real hardship. 99% of people who are living today and who have lived will never know such a life of luxury. What is she even supposed to do in the show...she's an environmentalist? If you're female and born into a rich family, do you just have to stay fit and marry a rich guy and then flit around for the rest of your life?

This show will make you anti semetic. I remember finding the early seasons somewhat grounded and funny, and later when I tried to watch a later season it had Susie complaining how hard it was to make a good salad in her obnoxious jew accent
It's literally the point of the show. If Seinfeld is a show about how comedians get their jokes, then Curb is about how wealthy comedians get their jokes. Much of the humor of Curb is based on how Larry can't understand the people born to wealth (like Susie and Cheryl) while getting along much better with the people who grew from more humble backgrounds (Richard and Jeff). At the same time, Larry has to deal with his own gentrification, where he begins to complain about things like not having his name tied to a sandwich at a famous sandwich shop despite Ted Danson being on there. Like most people that come into wealth, he constantly wonders why HE doesn't get the same things people "on his level" get.
