Was it really necessary to make the male protag a pedophile?
>>214405786was it necessary to make the female lead a coalburner?
>>214405825Phillip being a pedo is worse
Was the BMWF really necessary
>>214405786I just got to S5E1. Should I keep watching?
>>214405993S5 is kind of a slog if you don't care for Oleg's story but S6 is worth watching. I'd sit through S5 because it makes the payoff in S6 even better.
>>214406022Any more hot women show up, or is that behind me?
>>214406022olegs the best character tho
>>214406041Uhh, sort of? You'll see more of some old characters and stuff. S5 is mostly about setting up the ending.
>>214406223I know that the show doesn't go all the way until 1991, which is disappointing. Seeing Elizabeth realize that the system she sacrificed her soul for is gone would have been kino.
>>214406075Oleg is also my favorite character by far.
>>214405786Wouldn't they have to change the name of the show if he wasn't?
>>214405786had one of the best doggystyle scenes ever
>>214406770I don't remember it, post a webm
>>214406814file size too big just check keri russell on aznude
I keep hearing about how this is one of the best shows ever, on the same level as Gilliganverse or Mad Men/Sopranos. Is it really? I watched S1 and liked it well enough, but it didn't blow my socks or anything (except with how hot the wife and the secretary are). Should I keep watching? I don't see how they can adequately stetch the Hank-Walt tension with the FBI neighbour for 9 or however many seasons.
>>214407755>Hank-Walt tension with the FBI neighbourThey don't stretch it, it isn't really a factorYes keep watching, it picks up
>>214407755It's great. Season 1 is kind of eh and they didn't really find their footing until season 2, but the show just gets better and better as it goes. It's a great slowburn drama. It's rare for me to get invested in characters in shows these days, but this was a major exception.
>>214405825>>214405939thisthe show was woke trash
>>214405786when does he fuck a child? I dont remember that part. was a pretty good show though
Do you learn any Russian watching the show?
>>214408265yeah. you learn vodka, gulag, kgb and ruble
>>214406770>>214406814>>214406891What season and episode? I'll WEBM it under 4mb.
>>214408072He had to seduce some senator(? i dont remember exactly who, someone important)'s daughter to get into their house and steal stuff
>>214408072that ugly curly cue chick from ozarksshe plays a high schooler who's dad is in the CIA, so he poses as a cool older guy who can get weed and good fake IDs and stuff like that and seduces her
>>214408311>ruble
I'd re-watch this show but I remember it being so slow at times. Not in a bad way but the plot too its sweet time to move along.
>>214407755I liked it as in it wasn't ever a chore to watch and the quality over the course of the show was solid but I'd never think to recommend it.
>>214408072He starts fucking Julia Gardner because her dad is some kind of CIA bigshot during season 3 iirc and she's supposed to be 15
>>214408378I just finished the season where this happens, and I seem to recall that no sex took place or was implied. Maybe I'm a midwit. The show really danced around it.
The whole concept of the show is that they will stoop to the lowest and most base behaviour just to do their job. They emotionally manipulate and blackmail lots of vulnerable, innocent people without showing any contrition. I think that's what made the show so succesful, it showed being a spy as filthy work and not just cool stylish james bond shit
>>214408436and ultimately they were doing all of this for the soviet union as it was crumbling. so it was all for nothing
>>214408436Elizabeth's remorseless killing got kinda on-the-nose in S4. >Kills a random factory employee.>Kills a sweet old lady who didn't need to be killed.
>>214408436Phillip struggles with his conscious from time to time and probably would have eventually flipped if not for Elizabeth.
>>214408402>15>pedowouldn't that just make him a statutory rapist?
>>214408495My head canon is that they get divorced after going back to Moscow because Elizabeth wants to go back out into the field and Phillip wants to be done with that part of his life. She ends up going somewhere like Angola as an advisor and gets her head split open by a local. Phillip immigrates to the US under an assumed identity after the fall of the Iron Curtain. At some point before that, he finds Martha (remember, she's also in Moscow) and apologizes for what happened to her.
>>214408653>Summer 1991. >A still active Elizabeth supports the KGB coup.>A semi-retired Philip gets swept up by the pro-Yeltsin crowd. Could be a kino sequel film.
Martha cleans up pretty well.
>>214408724Pretty consistent with their personalities. Would like to see some kind of follow up.
>>214408827What would Paige be doing?
>That scene where Phillip is teaching Paige how to fight. How much saltpeter did Rhys take before doing that scene?
