this was a fun watch
>>214410035this shit flick was the last time i let /tv/ meme me into taking one of their suggestions
>>214410083why would you hate it? its just an action comedy, with good action and good comedy, as for the political stuff, i think it can be easily ignored
I wonder if Hollywood liberals really want a "conversation", or just "teaching" the masses. If a movie flopped, do they care to know why? If a movie about politics and a specific time period flopped, do they wonder if the public see things differently, or have their own experiences/issues that the movie doesn't care to engage? Or do they keep living in a bubble, convinced that a movie REJECTED in EVERY MARKET, is just not how the world sees the same issues?
>>214410553the movie isnt liberal tho?
>>214410035I really feel this was the first honest to God attempt to dramatise the current moment. The movie itself acting as both ragebait and training data by the end. The solidgoldmagikarp thing is a perfect endnote too. Aster’s tactical deployment of insufferable normie music is also commendable.>>214410553Yeah because the best movies pander to the brain dead opinions in the mainstream. People clearly want thought provoking art. That’s why Weapons did so well. What a brilliant movie, the masses definitely don’t just relish horror slop and clap like seals at le spooky face
