>It never got better than that night! That was supposed to be the beginning of my life! All that promise and fucking optimism! That feeling that we could take on the whole universe! It was a big lie! Nothing happened!

Do people walk around really carrying all this regret?
>>

Shaun of the Dead is comfy and Hot Fuzz is genuinely really good. World's End is midlife crisis slop.
>>
>>214411109

>Do people walk around really carrying all this regret?
No the pasts fades. It becomes a blur like trying to remember something from when you wree a small child. I know I've seen terribe things in war and killed people but the memories are gone. I regret nothing becaus ethe person who did those things is long gone and only I am still here.
>>
>>214411136

I'm going to die of shame in my 40's, the doctors doing my autopsy will be baffled by a lack of cod. It will look like natural causes of old age.
When you see the headline
>40 yr old male seemingly dies of old age baffling doctors
Think of me anons
>>
>>214411223

>>
This and Shaun of the Dead are reddit slop but Hot Fuzz is a 9/10.
>>
>>214410163

Yeah, that’s kind of the point. He has a pathetic life
>>
>>214411313
That's a lie. For the first time in decades I had a bizzare dream about it all. I was with some animals dogs and some bears and others and we were being shelled and my job was to get the out safe and they were all tame. There were two bears a young one and an old one and we were going accross a street and the older one got confused and stopped in the middle of the street and a mortar hit and blew it apart. That's all I can remember of it. Aside from that life is good.
>>
>>214411381
sounds like a laugh a minute riot
>>
>>214410163
I went to see this in theatres with a few highschool friends, a couple years after school ended. Thinking it would be like hot fuzz. Quite an awkward experience because I recommended it. Especially because I was the only one without a gf or job and I drank a lot. It was like the main character was just trying to embarass me. It's been 10 plus years and I still haven't had a gf or job, but I quit drinking.

Must be terrible being really cool and well liked as a teenager, and then having to endure only being slightly cool and well liked as an adult. Gosh...
>>
>>214411455
ironically that never happens, cool people will alway remain cool
>>
>>214411285
If you are in the wrong vibe it can have an ill effect.

"suffer in silence"

Post your body
Post your income tax
Post your girlfriends nudes
Not a single one of these three will be impressive outside of how fat both her and you are
>>
Life does slow down a lot of after high school. If your entire identity was having fun with your buddies then you might resent how you can rarely hang out and it's no longer about going on adventures and getting crazy, you just sit around and talk while drinking beer.
>>
>>214411629
everyone must stand alone

Why didn't Tim help Grant get the shotgun?

Stay mad that the highest peak of your "comedy" was Steven Carrell while even the people our Empire brutalised for centuries still regard us as the funniest motherfuckers ever to exist.

I remember when this came out and I was the only one I knew who didn't like it. It honestly felt like people were just pretending to like it because they felt had to.
>>
>>214411136
They're not really snarky or yappy.
They're simple character dramas, with some good gags and genre parodies thrown in.
It's no one else's fault Americans have this weird complex about British comedy where they assume it's intellectual, and then either love or hate it, purely based on this assumption.

to the people who understand Gary, it's the best of the Cornetto films. To those that don't understand, they HATE it and just call it a "bodysnatchers" knockoff. they fail to realize that the antithesis of Gary was becoming a "normie" like everyone else

Is this your first time to this board? Just read through some of these threads, andd you'll have your answer.

Bits of it are good, but it's the weak entry in the trilogy, for sure.
It's not a clever sci-fi parody. that whole part of the movie feels bolted on.
Zombie movie where the local bums decide to go to the pub and wait it out, and high octane buddy cop movie in a quiet English village, are both funny on the conceptual level. The World's End is "what if you had a mid-life crisis, and it were Day of the Body Snatchers". There's no through line there.
