Holy fuck this shit is good: I can't believe I never watched this before: Is STAS as good?
>>214410938this nigga watches cartoons
>>214410938My brother in Christ, it's made for children. You are jizzing yourself over a childrens cartoon show. A capeshit cartoon show at that. Have a little fucking dignity. Fucking hell.
>>214410978>>214410965Dumb zoomers
>>214410938Don't listen to these trolls. Listen to me. I grew up in the 90's. Batman and Superman animated series were kino beyond comprehension.
>>214410938It's not as consistently good, but it's still pretty good.
OP make sure you watch the entire Dcau Mr Freeze arc in order. It is a fucking masterpiece all together.>>214410938>Is STAS as good? It's highs are not as glorious but it is more consistent.
>>214411172>OP make sure you watch the entire Dcau Mr Freeze arc in order. It is a fucking masterpiece all together.> Tas - Heart of IceGreat> Tas - Deep FreezeVery Good> SubZero (movie)Good (Freeze isn't as menacing or competent here, but the very end is great)> TNBA - Cold ComfortVery Good> Beyond - MeltdownGreat
OP watch this also.
>>214411230For real? Sell me on it
>>214411354Kailua every new episode with a theme. Think neon genesis but with godzilla.
>>214410938STAS is a more than solid show. Not as great as the Batman show, but still pretty good Clancy Brown's Lex Luthor, however, is one of the greatest villains in any medium ever. Every bit as good as the Mark Hamill Joker, and better than any of the live action Luthors, by far. The definition of a character who exceeded the creators's expectations. For example, they did a body swap episode in Justice League, intending to capitalize on Michael Rosenbaum playing Lex Luthor in Smallville while voicing The Flash. Instead, Clancy Brown was so hilarious voicing Wally West in Lex's body, that the episode became more about his performance. And the show runners admitted that Lex pretty much became the central antihero of the final season of Justice League Unlimited
>>214411462It also made Zilla Jr. a fan favorite.
The writing on TAS is annoyingly simplistic. I don't hold that against it, it's literally a cartoon for 10-12 year olds, but I always hear about how it's secretly incredibly mature and it's not. I think the gorgeous animation, the moody and sombre tone, and the occasionally baroque dialogued tricked people into overrating the actual writing. Admittedly I haven't watched a lot of TAS, but my impression is that TLA was conceptually more interesting and had more to say.
>>214410965cartoons from the 90s are more mature and grounded than the live action crap you watch today.
>>214410938>Is STAS as good? It's not quite as good, but it has its moments.
>>214411642>TAS= The Animated Series >TLS= ???
>>214410938>"He's Superman!">*hiss*
>>214411811I should've been clearer, TLA=The Last Airbender. In my mind this remains the gold standard in long-form writing for children's/teens' animation.
>>214410938STAS isn't as good no, but it's still plenty good.
>>214410938Why is her head so big?
>>214411659Imagine posting this
>>214411659>cartoons from the 90s are more mature and grounded than the live action crap you watch today.Yes, unironically.
>>214412053Because she has a full face.
>>214412546What was Harley's endgame?
>>214411596I liked the Amazo speech where lex luthor gave him the meaning of life.
>>214412777>What was Harley's endgame? It's implied in Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker that she eventually settles down with someone and has kids, and eventually grandchildren. She just really wanted to be loved but was drawn into a toxic relationship that defined a good chunk of her life.
>>214410938I honestly preferred Superman. Only weak eps were Metallo ones. Best version of Supes (mostly because of how he wasn't OP as fuck), Lex and especially Lois out there
Why doesn't Batman just rape the Joker?
>>214412915>Best version of Supes (mostly because of how he wasn't OP as fuck), Lex and especially Lois out thereDCAU Lois is the only modern version who's competent and smart without being an unlikable cunt.
>>214412915Would have been nicer if he didn't oversell every injury.
>>214412805It was really kino, because at this point, Amazo had psychic powers, and Lex knew he couldn't lie to him. He just had to be very convincing.
DETECTIVE
>>214413238They truly predicted the future in that episode.
>>214413238 DETECTIVE!
>>214413238What the fuck did he mean by this?
>>214410938Yeah.
>>214414082Wait, is this from the Batman Beyond episode? Cause...:/
