What is the mafioso movie that mentions the torturro begging scene?
>>214411645One of the few good movies with no "good" people in it.>>214413484Definitely worth a watch.
To me it's the Anti-Scorcese.Everyone in Miller's Crossing is in the world of organized crime because they just lack the character to advance themselves legitimately; they are all scum with crippling character flaws and weaknesses.Whereas Scorcese always presents them with a veneer of coolness, class and bravado.
>>214415130Uh, no? Goodfellas sets up an artifice of coolness and bravado and then spends 3 hours brutally knocking it down. The message is the same even if the method is different.
>>214415130Scorsese films are always a smorgasbord of characters worthy of emulating

>>214411645I take it as Tom genuinely cares about Leo but also had a wart on his fanny from constantly cleaning up his fuckups and he did get together with Vera partly to hurt Leo. Its why he answers that he doesn't always know why he does things when Leo suggests that Tom seduced Vera to protect him.
>>214414278You're probably thinking of Ocean's Twelve>Rusty Ryan: Anybody remember that scene in Miller's Crossing when John Turturro begs for his life?>Reuben Tishkoff: Sure, "Look into your heart.">Reuben Tishkoff: I cry every time.
