Just finished watching S2 and it came off as very Feminist and mean spirited in much of the writing. Comstantly putting men down off handly and they also notched up Wednesdays bitchyness by a ton. She used to always be sardonically detached but this season she's downright aggressively mean spirited to almost everyone she talks too. Total mood kill. Tim Burton directed Beetlejuice 2 (starting Ortega), between the two seasons, and he’s the showrunner and also directed a bunch of episodes of Wednesday. For better or worse dealing with loss is important for characters to grow up. Undoing stuff is never cool, events should have consequences or otherwise everything is meaningless. This show being worth of our time or just another cashgrab capitalizing on a brand name and nostalgia will all depend on the writing.
