>>214466633I don't mind the KTMA episodes, but since there were no scripts, you sometimes get up to half an hour of no commentary. Which wouldn't be a problem if the movies weren't dull as shit.I do think the constant quickfire pace they developed later was a bit too much.

>>214466633I liked Joel's more laidback midwestern vibe on his episodes but I hated how most of his were shitty 1950s movies where next to nothing happens, it makes for a boring riff.Mike had a darker sense of humor that stopped just short of being meanspirited but it was still a bit much at times. I like his episodes overall more because those lean more on movies from the 1970s through very early 90s meaning there's more action and story and opportunities to riff>>214468886watching 1950s b-movies on TV is totally divorced from the original context. they're boring by design because the entire point was for you to take a take to go see it at the drive-in and you now have a 90 minute block where you can make out and no one will bother you
