When will the 2010's nostalgia wave begin? We're well over halfway through the 2020's.

Im still waiting for the 2000s emo nostalgia
>>

That wave has passed. It started from the post-COVID to right about now. 2010's nostalgia will kick in once we enter the later years of this decade.

Fault in our Stars is the quinteessential 2010's movie. Any superhero slop would get a place and maybe I'd add stuff like Green Book.

>>214476230
Bye felicia, ready to get swol like it’s hella wowzers? You just gonna sit there planking and tebowing or you gonna throw some shade like and epic badass?

what nostalgia memes ignore is that these dudes were widely hated and seen as a bunch of raging faggots by every other subculture.
>>
>>214476531
People making fun of Twilight directly led to any and all male-appealing franchises being maliciously co-opted by women. Prove me wrong. You couldn't just let a stupid female-appealing franchise be and had to mock it to death so they retaliated and ruined what we love.

What the fuck are you on about

Said subcultures were themselves also raging faggots howstever
My favorite was wiggers

The problem is that the 2010s has a massive rift between the zeitgeist that was moral to acknowledge and the pretend zeitgeist no one liked but we have to pretend to like. No one can be nostalgic for, say, Scott Pilgrim, because, as we saw from the series, the moment it gets revisited, the culture it helped build tears it down. Fact is, there are more fans of Life is Strange here, among the chuds, then there are in the tumblr communities that used to champion it.

there's like 10 things tops from the 10s that anybody gives a single fuck about.

lets just name them now

django
wolf of wallstreet
irishman
...........umm...........
killers of the flower moon maybe...(honestly it's really forgettable and i don't think anybody will care about it in 10 years)
the revenant
once upon a time in hollywood(maybe, also pretty forgettable)
the chernobyl series(i guess)
like half of Mad Men

that's basically the 2010s

inb4 some weird softcore porn film from france about a 17 year old kid fucking his step-mom or w/e. none of this stupid indie shit counts.

>>214476560
Pretty clear what I'm on about, daft cunt.
>>214476709
The problem is that the 2010's had too much of a huge rift. We're still living in the late 2010's whereas the early 2010's are completely unrecognizable. If any nostalgia arises, it'll only be for 2010 to 2012
>>
>>214476739
>killers of the flower moon
that's a 2023 movie, skullfucked idiot.
>>
>>214476770
oh shit lol that's right.

in its place, we'll say....The Big Short.

It's not like it matters, it sucked anyway.

That's a good choice and perfectly 2010's. It was a good decade for film. Plenty of great stuff. 2019 was the last good year to watch movies.

>there's like 10 things tops from the 10s that anybody gives a single fuck about.

You could make a music scene movie - not a biopic about anyone specific, just an overall "portrait of that culture" - about the explosion of festival EDM, largely driven by the US scene and SFX Entertainment.

You could call it "EVERYBODY FUCKING JUMP"

Bigroom house as the main stylistic dominant (with dubstep being an earlier precursor), and metric tons of normies finding it acceptable and trendy to like electronic music for the first time in forever, in the US at least.

But the problem is that this part of electronic music is so immensely corporate and commercial that you can't really produce a big enough studio movie about it without the movie itself becoming corporate, where the labels and giant promotion houses would want creative control and would want to paint history in a very particular sterile way.

2010s for me was just listening to a whole bunch of /mu/core and watching a bunch of silly foreign films.

I wouldn’t go back and trade it for anything else desu even though I started checking out normie social media recently and honestly those normies sort of go hard with their posts. Still tho fuck em.

20 year rule, right now in fashion the popular thing is to ape the late 90s and early 2000s, this is called y2k core, im also expecting emo kids, jersey shore look, and early trucker hat and pabst blue ribbon hipster to come back.

2010s nostalgia wont be a thing till the 2030s
