Corny humor, Kate Brewster (John's wife) is the real badass calling the shots & sent the T-800 back, among other things

It looks better in comparison to the later sequels but it's still notably inferior to T1 and T2.
>totally drops the "No Fate" plotline
>Nick Stahl and the chick aren't as good as Edward Furlong, Linda Hamilton, and Michael Biehn
>Ahnuld's new Terminator is a bit flat compared to his previous portrayals, both of which were iconic
>the T-X is a menacing villainess and pretty good, but she isn't great the way Arnold and the T-1000 were. She lacks any mystery.
>T-X somehow controls completely mechanical cars with computer viruses. Seems kinda forward thinking now that cars do have computers that can control the brakes/steering but is still technically a plothole.
>not really any quotable lines like "come with me if you want to live" or "hasta la vista baby"

It's not awful. The characters are good (if not great the way the cast of the first two movies was), the action scenes are good, Arnold turning evil again was interesting, and the ending is kino. It's just not a patch on T1 or T2.

Yeah, a little proto-woke there.

This. I like this movie, but it leaned so hard on the CG.
CGI allows a film to imagine further, but done incautiously, it just cheapens the illusion as the world doesn’t feel real.

People didn't like John Connor being a homeless loser, didn't want a female Terminator and they got hit hard by the bittersweet ending. I remember people hating the actors as well.

because its following up the greatest scifi film of all time, T2. people were going to be upset no matter how it ended, the same as the original star wars trilogy because ESB was so good. there was nothing too creative about the movie but it checked all the boxes when it came to a conclusive ending to the trilogy.

3 times with the same premise is too much. T3 should have been about the future war or the original pitch where skynet sends a terminator back to ensure its own creation.
