What went so wrong?
>>214485429David Chase wanted to make a film about the Newark Riots but couldn't get funding for it so he made a film about the Newark Riots with some shitty mafia theme in the background
David Chase wanted to make something different but the producers forced him to tack on something Sopranos related but he genuinely hates the Sopranos fanbase and couldn't remember much of the storyline so they made some muddled up piece of shit that satisfied nobody
Literally almost everything. Remember part of the major plot revolved around niggers and race mixing? LOL.
Sopranos?
El Camino is how it's fucking done.
>>214485429sopranos is just a soap opera for men. same relationship drama, same story arcs leading howhere, same characters appearing out of nowhere just to be completely forgotten the next season, same absense of an overarching plot with characters remaining pretty much unchanged throughout the show.
>>214485683an actual retard

I was so fucking hyped for this, man. What the fuck. https://youtu.be/dHa95iy2lF0
>>214485429Expectations too high. They should have just quietly released it like El Camino instead of making it out to be some grand return to the greatness of the series. It wasn't bad. I don't think anything really went wrong. What were you expecting?
>>214485683What do you think a soap opera is exactly? You frogfrenfags are never bright.
>>214485979>I don't think anything really went wrongWell the Silvio actor for starters
>>214485429He's admitted he never rewatched the show beforehand. It's why so many plot holes appeared out of nowhere. other anons have pointed out he didn't want to make it sopranos originally>>214485979it went very wrong. watch a breakdown of all the errors if u want, but it shits all over the show for no reason, basically. It's a case of "who was this even made for."
best scene in the whole movie and the only i remember>YOU FUCKED THAT MURDERING NIGGER
>muh lore Like who the fuck cares? The Sopranos was made at it went along with constant changes and rewrites due to real life problems, old actors played different characters, new characters that were never mentioned before were introduced when the writers needed them, etc. That kind of consistency was never the appeal of the show.
Up in da club
Nobody would do Chase's shitty Newark show and he could only get a sign on from HBO with the Soprano's IP. He compromised.
