>She didn't deserve this.
>>
dumbest shit i have ever seen

all she had to do was push the baby out of the way

maybe she did it on purpose to force a transfer to the other head or something though
>>
>>214486428
She did.
>>
S1-3 were good overall but now that they have to get rid of empire, Cleons, demerzel, they have literally nothing left anyone wants to see.

Bet they really regret their casting for the foundation people now.
>>
>>214486436
who the fuck is gonna repair/rebuild it though? its not like it can sprout arms/legs and fix itself, right?
>>
>>214486428
The beam was wider than her body, she moving it and being forced to the ground burnt through her and vaporized the baby.

Also. the space station, is it in space or in atmosphere like a blimp?

Addionally. The space station, "The spoon" why didn't harry just spoon the mule out and then place him into space.

Why didn't harry just spoon all the bad guys, and the mule and place them in space.

I AM THE MULE, DIES TO HARD VAC.

Harry could've literally entomb all of them, and gal one by one faced them.

She could have killed Dusk/Darkness too, since he wasnt really empire.
>>
>>214486486
Dawn Cleon still lives
>>
>>214486486
the demerzel/day plotline was like the only reason this show was watchable in the first place
beta is cute and all, but gaal/seldon are just jedi/magic at that point and super lame since the author can make them do anything at this point and justify it with their macguffin
>>
>>214487643
duhh how about nothing? gotcha dumb bitch
>>
>>214486486
They do kind of have an out though. Gaal has no visions beyond four months in the future. It would be based as fuck if they killed her off early in season 4. It would immediately get the fandom on side with the new showrunner. Make that Han Pritcher dude the Foundation protagonist instead or whatever
>>
this whole thing was just a fake out and a plot device to free her. demerzel will be alive again via the other robot head within 2 episodes of the next season
>>
>>214488195
>killing off screenwriters main selfinsert
Lolno
>>
>>214488244
Yeah 100%
This show is consistently too pussy to kill off characters unless they aren't supposed to live past that era book plot wise. and demerzel is literally relevant up until the very last foundation book
>>
>>214488292
I can see it now, Demerzel comes back to life, either kills Dusk or he does something stupid from his decaying mind and dies. New Terminus plot is wrapped up and Dawn returns to Trantor, they begin remaking clones and the status quo is completely restored again except for Demerzel being "free" but she basically chooses to do the exact same things of her own free will.

The only alternative is if Dawn comes back to Trantor while Dusk is still alive and is horrified to find out what he's done and has him killed.
>>
>>214488273
it's an entirely new writing staff though, so maybe there won't be as many Mary Sue lovers on board *shrug*

I'm no manifesting this happening into the world. It would immediately change the narrative from people wondering if the new staff are gonna ruin the show. They still might inspite of it, but it would be a huge help for the Foundation plotlines to not have this mediocre actor as the lead.

>>214488292
Not sure it's 'pussy' to not kill off your show's best character desu, especially when there's no compelling reason to do so and her whole arc this season was about what she would do when freed from serving Empire
>>
>>214488403
I think you're a bit too naive about the television industry. There's a reason why Gaal is front and Center both narrativ and marketing wise, and new writers won't change that
>>
>jumps out a low orb spaceship with nothing but a metal surfboard

>>
>>214486428

Now you understand
>>
>>214488453
I think an attractive black man with charisma could easily take over as the main marketing push/diversity prong, plus we're a little past Peak Woke now, even reddit and other liberal/leftist places where this show is discussed acknowledge she sucks and don't immediately scream racism when people raise the matter
>>
>>214488507
Why are nu sci-fi writers so obsessed with people getting thrown out into space and surviving it in the most convoluted way?
This is the THIRD time I've witnessed this now
>The last Jedi
>The expanse
>(NEW) Foundation
>>
>>214488563
lol yeah if they were gonna be this retarded they could have at least left Brother Dawn unscathed so he's not still a cripple next season.
>>
I'm not racist or an incel, but the actor of Gaal seems baffling to me, maybe it's just the writing?
We have these great actors that are all concentrated around Empire
And then as soon as it's back to Gaal it's just ASS
>>
>>214488592
little bit the writing, little bit the actress. She acted better than in previous seasons, and I thought making her seem more morally grey and Seldon like was a good move, but then they made into some invulnerable supersoldier in the final episode and ruined it all
>>
>>214488592
It is definitely the writing.
The problem with Gaal is multifold:
>she's the definition of a Mary sue, zero weaknesses, 1000 IQ, always on top, zero character flaws
>accompanies the foundation through its history which is kind of a neat premise, but she also directly shapes and is almost single handedly responsible for the future of foundation which nukes the entire premise of the foundation books
>zero drama or high and low points in her plotline, it's always "meet person x, go to place y, do thing z" over and fucking over again
>because of the Mary sue aspect, even the most culminating action confrontations are boring as fuck because YOU KNOW she's gonna win with ease or survive at the minimum
>because of the Mary sue aspect the writers consistently write her into a corner like the thing with bayla where there is seemingly no way to win unless you throw all logic (and yourself, kek) out of the window
>>
>>214488681
Will black women ruining a scifi show become a new trope?

First the expanse and now this.
>>
>>214488681
.. the last episode ends on her getting shit on for being dishonest

You zoomers. You really need to stop just making shit up for attention and hating on random shit. Look at Charlie Kirk.
Stop this shit.
>>
>>214489253
>her getting shit on for being dishonest
Are you talking about the Hari part? Is it depicted as some evil betrayal? lolno
Will she suffer any begative consequences from it? Lolno
>>
>>214489286
For someone who is acting like he knows the show you are asking alot questions about the show.
Or is this a passive aggressive question argument thing you learned from indians.
>>
>>214489336
You can easily prove me wrong, just use some plot examples or moments from the past and not the literal near last scene of the show with no clear resolution.
Surely you can name some character flaws or decisions by Gaal that are portrayed in a negative light or as mistakes?
>>
>>214489395
See you zoomers think other people are going to do things for you when you are ignorant. I blame smart phones.
>>
>>214488292
>This show is consistently too pussy to kill off characters
I would say that has more to do with real-life showrunning concerns than anything to do with the writing. You have to maintain some members of the cast in a TV show and that's hard enough to do in a centuries-spanning sci-fi epic like Foundation. It's why readers said it was unadaptable for so long. The alternative is introducing new characters and actors every season and that rarely even works in a book, let alone a TV show
>>
>>214489213
Eh, Naomi didn't destroy The Expanse. It was a lot of different things adding up that ruined that show. Naomi being one of them, the focus on her son, the pajeet being fired for some retarded reason and the show not moving on until the last episode and then getting cancelled.
>>
>>214489574
>Naomi
Naomi FUCK HER.

I HATE HER.

IT'S THE EPISODE SHE DOES NOTHING BUT CRY AND SCREAM FOR AN HOUR.

>>
now that's how you do season finale. fucking epic
>>
>>214486379
It absolutely deserved death and worse. Robot should have been shot to pieces and its remains placed in an acid bath the second Cleon II realized it'd kill him before old age got him. Fucking stupid-ass show. At least S3 Dusk had some goddamn common sense.
>>
>>214486379
It'd be a perfect season finale if they cut out the foundation bits. Dusk's and Day's arcs contrasting each other's pursuit for hope against their fates were wonderful in their resolution. I wasn't too keen on Day suddenly turning into a mommy's boy when he found the robot skull but watching Dusk lean into the destruction to save himself put it into perspective that the prime radian and being a Cleon broke Day at some point and he's been coping himself into not caring or even daring to hope for a real answer to their problem. Dusk on the other hand never gave up even when everyone was telling him he's done for and the motherfucker did it and took everything for himself. That whole cleon genocide scene was tense as fuck and deserves a chef's kiss on all fronts.

On the flip side, I hated they went with the Bayta=Mule twist like that one anon foretold and it turned out even worse than I feared because it just doesn't fit with her actions and prior to it. I was really counting it on being one big keikaku by Dawn and that his psychic showoff in his spyflick episode was foreshadowing that he was hiding his powerlevels from Gaal. Like fuck, did they not clue Bayta's actress in on her being the mule till the last second? Why didn't they just have her keep up the cheery glib Bayta persona she's been using instead of suddenly have her become girlboss #5434 when she's been having fake Mule act similarly? Why didn't Pritcher pick up on her being a mentallic way earlier? She had every opportunity to figure out what's up with foundation 2 in all those scenes and there was no way for her to know she'd get drafted on her honeymoon. You just know Gaal fucked up too on finishing her off so they could keep the Mule on the table for S4 too and make those library confrontation scenes happen.
>>
>>214490787
It's insane how they managed to make the foundation storyline much more boring three times in a row
>>
>>214486379
>We didn't deserve this
ftfy
The entire season was great until these last 2 episodes which just kind of shat the bed.
>>
>>214488195
>It would immediately get the fandom on side
People actually like Gaal outside of the edgy shitposting on here (I understand this is probably very triggering for you)
>>
>>214488681
>she's the definition of a Mary sue, zero weaknesses, 1000 IQ, always on top, zero character flaws
That's not even kind of true? She's constantly failing which is why all this shit keeps happening. In s2, she got btfo by the mentallic lady and had to be saved.
The fake Mule outplayed her by invading new Terminus, then she ruined him only to realise she'd been outplayed by the real Mule and only escaped, heavily injured, due to contrived writing and having essentially lost.
Are we watching the same show? Or do you just hate any female lead?
>>
>>214490963
>People actually like Gaal outside of the edgy shitposting on here
>People actually like Gaal
Like how? Her scenes consistently dragged down episodes since S2. Even the mainstream reviewers I've seen all praised Lee Pace's chest and the empire plotlines before any mention of Gaal comes up in their impressions.
>>
>>214491013
She's a pretty classic example of the hero's journey archetype. It's the Han v Luke argument all over again.
All the outspoken voices would always praise Han Solo for being a much more interesting character and call Luke boring and whiny or whatever. But the majority of fans loved Luke because he was the simple protagonist that struggled and tried to fix things.
>Her scenes consistently dragged down episodes
She's been consistently moving the story forward. It's one thing if you don't like her. But she's not stifling the story with long speeches about nothing.
>>
>>214489574
>the pajeet being fired for some retarded reason
The one with the voice like she's had a billion cigarettes? My ears loved that shit.
>>
>>214491248
no alex' actor
>>
I really liked Naomi's escape scene in the book, very tense. But it came across as annoyingly drawn out in the show.
>>
>>214490963
people don't hate her unlike the chuds on here, but even reddit recongise she's a weak link in the show and it's very silly to pretend otherwise
>>
>>214490963
Bro not even Reddit likes her.
The highest praise she's received in reddit this season was "Her acting isn't as bad as other seasons".

>She's been consistently moving the story forward.
That's part of the problem actually. She had an actual proper character with interesting relationships and motivations in season 1. Come season 2 she's just there to move the second foundation plot along and that plot in itself is weak and not interesting at all. It progressively placed smack dab in the middle of the struggle against the coming darkness but at the same time stripped away aspects of her that made her interesting and turned her into a superhero plot device. I know they set up the rationale for why she'd be able to overpower the mule but in the end she overcomes her struggle in the climax by basically saying "No, I'm stronger!" and tops it off with that super HALO jump that breaks all suspension of disbelief in the same show that has webm related.

They kill off fleshbag Hari at the start of season 3 and suddenly sprang a new subordinate lover for her that comes off as superficial so that leaves her only interesting relationship being the one she had with Day as his spymaster. Once she betrayed the boy nothing about her actually mattered other than killing the mule which she fucked up colossally because plot wants them both for S4 so it doesn't feel like anything changed foundation 2 side other than her pissing off virtual Hari. She doesn't give me any reason to find her compelling or likeable, her acting is noticeably subpar compared to the rest of the cast and she accomplished very little relative to all the screen time she gets.
>>
Gaal is my gal. She must become empress in the end. It's only logical because she is coolest and bestest.
Actually when they resurrect demerzel they could get married and be the dual empresses of human and robotkind.
Shit would be so cash
>>
>>214491764
>but in the end she overcomes her struggle in the climax by basically saying "No, I'm stronger!" and tops it off with that super HALO jump that breaks all suspension of disbelief
That "fight" was dogshit. I don't blame that on Gaal though, I blame that on shitty writing/directing. Earlier in the season I found her scenes compelling. I liked seeing her having grown into someone competent. In s2 she was very much reactive, supporting Salvor and Hari in their antics while freaking out over visions of the future.
In s3, she's actively mastered her psychic powers and is a serious player in the fray. Her scene with Demerzel was one of the best of the entire show. I agree her relationship with Pritcher was underdeveloped/forced. But compared to some of the other stuff in the show, I was pretty indifferent to it.
>>
>>214491916
Ok foundation writers, we get it
Now get the fuck back to writing s4
