Wow, so it turns out CCCP was pretty shitty country, huh?
>golemwhy don't you research american atrocities instead of relying on state media overseen by the dod since ww2

crazy how basically no one apart from the fire fighters at the start who literally picked up reactor bits actually died as a result of the accident. crazy how all that lack of death and destruction was used by private equity and politicians to demonise nuclear power and funnel taxpayer money into their pet "green*" energy projects for forty years.
>>214490238good people trying to help each other, dedicated wives who stay at their husband's side, trying to develop an energy source that doesn't have to be purchased from Al Qaeda countries.
western slop propaganda, it was almost certainly a CIA gayop designed to make the soviet union look bad- RBMK reactors cannot explode and nobody has proven how they could to this day

Low IQ is thinking this movie is an indictment of communismHigh IQ is realizing this movie is an indictment of russians as a people
>>214491294>communism just hasn’t been done le properlyCan’t wait till we cull you.
>>214490238Funnily enough in today's western society you're also not allowed to say anything meaningful or counter global warming hoax, theoretical physics swindle, wind power scam, solar power nonsense etc

>>214492583>The working sailors then used regular shovels to pour the fuel into the cement-encased vertical steel pipes of the storage containers. These actions led to accumulation of critical mass and subsequent uncontrolled chain reactions, glowing from Cherenkov radiation and emitting a buzzing sound, which quickly subsided.>Blue-green flashes of light were also observed in the left-hand pool in building #5 during the work on lifting nuclear waste drums from the bottom. USSR was 2 inches away from accidentaly opening a portal to a parallel dimension, kino.
>>214492967There's no director working now that is able to film this scene>The first time I came there, I was shocked: I have never seen such a nightmare, did not even conceive it was possible. Just imagine an enormous black windowless building atop of a cliff. Entry into the building #5 was decorated by deformed trucks previously used for carrying nuclear fuel and half-torn-down heavy gates. Inside, the building was dilapidated, electric equipment in dangerous condition, the roof letting through sights of the Aurora Borealis, and, most terrifyingly, colossal beta particle contamination levels and travelling gamma waves reflected from plates and walls. Building #5 was completely radioactive inside. If a drop of water happened to fall on your head, you had to be decontaminated for a long time, since the drop contained tens of thousands of beta particles. maybe Kiyoshi Kurosawa
>>214490238And to think, it all could have been avoided if the nuclear plant had a HR department. Maybe that female scientist they invented for the show could have run it.

>>214493156run it at low power for way too long in order to allow xenon to build up which limits the reaction (they delayed the test)then turn off the pumps at way too low power(due to the xenon), allowing steam voids to develop (they begin the test)then insert graphite tips of all of the control rods at once, burning off all of the xenon and drastically increasing the reaction rate (AZ-5 shutdown)*explosion*yes i watched the series
>>214491394Just because some high-tech site is based in a different SSR didn't mean it was run by Borat the local farmer, dude.Dyatlov and Toptunov were ethnic Russians. If they were Ukies they'd have the -ev suffix like Khrushchev, Gorbachev, Brezhnev.

>>214492822No. If his psyche was disorganized in that picture then there are two options, neither of which help his case. Either he's psychologically a mess because his room is a mess, in which case you should take his own advice and organize his room to help his mental health. Which means he's a hypocrite. Or his room is a mess because he's psychologically a mess. In which case cleaning his room wouldn't help since it's a result of his messed up psyche, not a cause. He doesn't look good either way.
Can I get some pro Russian propaganda to compare it to?
the most interesting thing about the entire incident is that only Soviet incompetence could have caused something this catastrophic but at the time only the Soviet people had the deranged government and work ethic to do the work necessary to field the manpower and resources to clean it up. The human and material cost alone probably speed up the collapse of the Soviet Union by decades.
>>214493156Poor maintenance from a crew that doesn't know what they're doing or what the condition of the reactor is
>>214494404There was this series about Trotsky that came out a few years ago that was allegedly antismitic for correctly portraying the early Bloshevik movement as mostly jewish. I think that was funded by Russian state media.

>>214493793And what of good Chikatilo?
>>214492122>Why do Russians so ardently defend the worst aspects of their regimeas an ethnicity they're survivors of incredibly brutal mongol raids. anyone who showed any degree of resistance was culled. now they're servile on a genetic level. notice how their military aggressions, both in the soviet days and now, always carry the expectation that the invaded population will just fold immediately and give up. they think that because it's what they would have done.
