Is there anything fucking original in "modern" times or is everything just ripped off

You get no points for thinking up an aesthetic, the skill is in running with it, making something from it and sticking the landing
It's like that dude who tried to sue the Matrix guys because his comic book from the early 90s had trench coats and sunglasses and evil G men in suits but nothing to pull it all together, he was only mad because they were able to take his floundering mishmash and create something that touched the zeitgeist and made them millions of dollars, he wouldn't give a shit if they had (also) failed
Ideas guys can't go the distance and get left seething, sorry

refined execution can be original, which is the more accurate context.
i think kubrick is a hack, but i can defend he is a more competent film maker than the pioneers who barely knew what they were doing.

all your kino makers are counterfeit

This is why I prefer true artists like Lynch. When he filmed something you were certain it's a once in lifetime experience

Thanks for let me know about this, I love retro futuristic movies so I'll give this a watch when I find it.
>>
>only good when Kubrick does it
Uh when will Rob Ager make 20 million 5 hour videos about this?
