>spergs out because her daughter wants to become a lawyer instead of a doctor
what was her problem?
>>
She had nothing going on for her. And she knew it
>>
It's lawyers that arguably impact Tony's business the most
>>
>>214493004

She wanted my Big Medigan Cock
>>
Could she even be a lawyer with Tony as her dad? Wouldn't that disqualify her? Surely there's checks or whatever.
>>
>>214493146
are you retarded?
>>
>>214493146
I don’t think they had to worry about that by the end of the show
>>
Doctors made more money, it's not that deep.
>>
>>214493004
She didn't want her being a lawyer instead of a doctor
>>
>>214493146
>implying lawyers and the bar association give a shit about ethics
>>
>>214493146
Law school student here.
The bar exam has a "Character and Fitness" requirement, but criminal parents doesn't count.
>>
>>214493004
thats the jewish verision of "fifirst world problems"
>>
>starts killing people in an attempt to win power
>the best friend of one of the people killed retaliates in kind
>”REEEEEEEE FUCK YOU THIS IS UNFAIR I WANT HIM SLOWLY TORTURED TO DEATH DONT YOU KNOW ABOUT MY TIME IN PRISON????”
Wtf was his problem?
>>
Wasn't it Tony who had a bigger problem with her being lawyer instead of a doctor because he was fixated on the idea of her helping sick babies (more mommy issues shit)?
>>
Listen, T. I hear ya got problems wit ya family ‘nd all, but I gotta tell ya, ya haven’t been listenin when I’ve been sayin my testicles are still hurtin from bein kicked last night by that punk. Just thought I’d remind ya, no disrespect, hehe
>>
>>214493412
He wanted to be joined by men, and not faggot ass corn-holin' cocksuckers like married his cousin. He should fuckin' die!
>>
>>214493004
She was right and I'd sperg out too if I was her. I've seen people with law degrees drive cabs because they couldn't find work. Lawyers in general don't earn shit if they don't have the connections to make it into a big law firm. You can't live off of being a "good guy lawyer the defender of the downtrodden" like Meadow wanted.

There is always work for doctors on the other hand, be it private practice or not. And unlike lawyers, you can actually make a decent living being a good guy doctor. Sure, peds doesn't pay as well as derm or plastics, but it's still a good living.
>>
are lawyers in america generally less respected than doctors and, if so, to what degree? i heard the term "ambulance chaser" before... does this have to do with it?
>>
>>214494919
Yes.
>>
>>214493412
>Show spends previous 5 seasons exposing the hypocrisy of mobsters
>Mobster acts like a hypocrite
>"what was his problem?"
>>
>>214493004
She knows for a fact the law and mob worlds are equally as cutthroat and degenerate, and they deal with each other constantly. Being a doctor is an almost guaranteed pass into a cushy life provided the retarded american health system doesn't manage to kill you first, and you can mostly avoid dealing with organized crime if you know what you're doing. In Carmela's eyes, lawyers are little more than enablers for her husband's bullshit that she subconsciously hates.
>>
>>214494919
People generally don't like lawyers because they tie down the frontier mindset with a bunch of stuffy legalese. "Ambulance chasers" are private lawyers who aggressively pursue clients for personal injury lawsuits and often have them exaggerate their pain for a better payout
>>
>>214493004
carmela would you shut the
DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR
>>
>>214494766
My FIL is a retired lawyer and was apparently just treading water his entire career. Unless you join a large firm you're stuck doing low paid odd job work like writing contracts or other legalized paperwork. If you want to be a trial lawyer you can be a public defender but they also get paid shit
>>
>>214493004
wasn't it because med was saying she wanted to be a do-good lawyer for niggers or something? she wouldn't make any money and that would embarrass carm, because she is a bad person.
>>
>>214493004
Did she get it in the end along with AJ? I could see Meadow escaping in the chaos. Either way that's a lot of bodies for one hitman.
>>
>>214493146
You just reveal your own ignorance
>>
>>214494766
>You can't live off of being a "good guy lawyer the defender of the downtrodden" like Meadow wanted.
That was youthful idealism, you dumb fuck.
>>
>>214494766
The money in being a lawyer is being a specialty kind of lawyer. Like Luke form Outdoor Boys was a traffic lawyer in Virginia for years.
>>
>>214495616
what chaos? what hitman? you must be talking about a different show
>>
>>214495606
No, she explicitly states that she wants to become a lawyer to defend people like her dad who were being shitted on by the feds, citing her dad being taken into custody in front of her and her friends days before her graduation from high school as the moment that radicalized her.

Both Tony and Carmella know that this means that she's going to become a mob lawyer and know Meadow is more like her dad than she would ever like to admit, so she's going to be neck deep into mob shit protecting gangsters and become morally corrupted.
>>
>>214496031
I would watch that show
>>
>>214495687
No shit, it's still retarded and it's the parent's job to make their children avoid retarded youthful mistakes like this.
>>
>>214496031
oh yeah, i forgot. i hated that, how could she not see what her family was ):
>>
>>214496087
Volunteering at that legal aid centre was good for her though. She wasnt going to avoid liberal indoctrination in the American education system, like most people with a functioning brain she developed a more realistic sense of things as she got older.
>>
>>214496100
Kill yourself emoticon faggot
>>
>>214496198
>Volunteering at that legal aid centre was good for her though
In a vacuum yes, but wasting an opportunity to become a doctor because you had fun during a one off acitvity and now feel like dedicating your entire life to it is a good idea is a textbook youthful mistake that parents ought to prevent.
