I'm having a really hard time suspending my disbelief for the severe lack of supervision these priceless prototype hybrids have. Miss Yutani has more red robed personal guards than all the staff I've seen in Kids lab base. The most we have seen is when all the aliens were being delivered. Lots of staff were present. After that though we almost never see anyone. The lab couple had 1 or 2 assistants at a few points. There's the guys spraying the black shit. Then it's just kid, baldy, and synthman. Where's all the fucking personnel? They make it an active point to be able to see through their eyes but for some reason don't have people monitoring their activity 24/7 despite us constantly being reminded they are children that can barely follow orders.

oh man the more i read about this show the more i realize it really is a different timeline from the filmsi thought the maginot crew were yutani but apparently they were weyland-yutani since the start based on all the WY logos on the ship, meaning the two companies merged half a century earlier in this timelineand whats with the lack of FTL? the prometheus ship had FTL based on how it made its trip in 2 years, but now apparently FTL doesn't even exist yet in the alien universe.i suppose i should've believed when hawley said he basically ignored the rest of the franchise while making the show.it's a shame because i enjoy it but there's basically a negative amount of effort put into making it fit with the film continuity, while some shitty comics and other spinoff media seem to at least try to keep things consistent.
