Some, not all. Usually if it's a director i'm not familiar with i'll watch the main ones and then if i like those, i'll go chronologically through their filmography.

It depends, yeah
For some, like David Lynch, Kurosawa, Godard, etc, watching chronologically (with some skipping here and there) yields the best results. For others, it doesn't really matter
