Given the discourse cycles over shitty live-action remakes of animated properties from fans of said properties, and arguments over how "they only exist because animation is seen as for kids and think live action is more mature!!!1!!", I've honestly grown to wonder if the animationfags who make those statements have been conditioned to hate anything live-action because they think it's all boring.

Like, I sympathize since live action adaptations/remakes are usually dogshit slop, and I love animated stuff too, but I've getting more into movies in general, and there's genuinely a lot of cool, engaging and colorful stuff out there. Shit like your Oldboys (the 2003 one obviously), your Wes Anderson films, your Quentin Tarantino films, whatever. I think they just need to be pushed in the right direction when it comes to movies and live action shit in general
