Alien Earth sucks imo. I would have preferred a proper sequel by Neill Blomkamp.
I would prefer if people stop sucking Neil Blomkamp's dick. He made one mildly interesting movie and a popular vidya short.

It starts out ok and then there's a point where you wrap it up and you have had a good time. In his mind that's the mid point. No. Alien Earth is easy to dismiss and ignore. Bringing back a geriatric Ripley and Hicks would damage Aliens worse than Alien 3.
