It’s even worse than CIA -man
How come this slop is not memed as much?
>>
>>214501597
>the intro makes no fucking sense at all
That's the Jokah for ya, babee!
>>
>>214501597
the bank teller guy was a short lived meme
>>
How is it worse?
>>
>>214501597
What doesn't make sense?
>>
>>214501630
>nobody thinks to report and cops don't stop the school bus covered in fucking concrete dust driving down the main street
>>
>>214501597
Now that you mention it I don't understand the ending to this movie, Gordon speaks gibberish that sounds good but doesn't make sense to me he should become The Riddler
>>
>>214501646
>cops are ineffective
How does that not make sense?
>>
>>214501646
Shit cops in Gotham seems very well written to me and it's specifically mentioned by the first guy that was killed who stopped the alarm going off on the roof that it wasn't dialling 911 but a private number so those cops being there had to have been called by someone who reported it
>>
>>214501597
>How come this slop is not memed as much?
It is retard, but you just can't beat a plane crashing in real life
>>
It had the Dunnheir memes going for a long time
>>
>>214501646
also
>school busses always drive in an orderly fashion where it's just them in a consecutive line and no one else except when there's a convenient gap for Joker's bus to merge in, having driven through a blown up hole in the wall of a bank and no one finds that odd
>>
>>214502690
>be bus driver
>wall blows up
>bus cuts you off
>i need to gtfo of here
>continues to drive
what would you do?
also realism in superhero movies lol
>>
Christopher Nolan is a stupid person's idea of a genius filmmaker.
>>
>>214503104
What's a smart person's idea of a smart film maker?
>>
>>214503140
Paul Thomas Andersson
>>
>>214501666
No, Mr. Reese was supposed to become The Riddler. (Myster Ries).
>>
>>214501646
>THIS SCENE DOESNT MAKE ANY SENSE!! BACK IN MY DAY IN THE FORCE, WE WOULD HAVE TRIANGULATED THE BUS USING RADAR TECHNOLOGY AND THEN BLASTED IT WITH DRONES, HELL YEAH BROTHER
who cares you faggot boomer, its a cool scene
>>
>>214503021
>realism in superhero movies
This was precisely the selling point for Nolan's capeshit trilogy. Are you like 17?
>>
>>214503191
It's literally a public setting where hundreds of bystanders would've seen the big ass yellow school bus ram into the building then drive back out, there's no possible way to simultaneously have an IQ above 70 and suspend disbelief
>>
>>214501597
Nolan is a hack
his stories do NOT make any sense on a deeper analisis, not the batman movies, tenet, inception, etc
except for that magician movie, that ones air tight
>>
>>214503222
Someone here on /tv/ once said that Nolan's entire schtick is that his movies stop making sense when you think about them for even a little bit, but he's such a master of movie magic that in the heat of the moment, as you're watching them, you get sucked in. And that The Prestige is basically the revelation of his method as a filmmaker.

>Ewan Yofrenzar's dead!

What did he mean by this?
>>
>>214503240
sounds anti semtic
>>
>>214503236
lmao that is exactly true
>>
>This is a stock exchange! There's no money you can steal!
>Really? Then why are you people here?

How do you respond without sounding mad?
>>
>>214502690
>no one finds that odd
What makes you idiots think that no one finds that odd? The scene ends immediately after.
>>
>>214503167
I like them both.
>>
>>214503220
obviously people saw it and called 911, hence the police arrival minutes later
>>
>>214501646
People noticed but what are ya gonna do?
>>
>>214503291
JOKER NOOOO DONT TAKE MY CRYPTO BAG!!!
I WAS HOLDERINOING
>>
Nolan movies are generally fucking dogshit, especially in terms of action scenes (hilariously bad choreographies and generally awkward)
>>
>>214501597
It was memed a shitload even after TDKR. Particularly Dunnhier and the monster with the shotgun.
>>
>>214501597
TDK had a lot of dumbshit. Like the cops leaving Joker unrestrained in an interview room with one cop guarding him FROM INSIDE. But Ledger’s performance covers up a lot of the dumbness.
>>
>>214501597
Batman Begins is the only good film of the trilogy.
>>
>>214503104
For me it’s the DKR where the cops spend literally months trapped in the tunnel but come out clean shaven no hair growth and still in the spotless clean police uniforms they went in wearing. Bravo Nolan
>>
>>214503236
it's true
>and next, all of the police of gotham city go down into the sewers and metro lines to find bane. yes, every single police officer at the same time
>then bane blows up all the entrances and traps all the police underground!
>there's still a manhole they send food down through though, because they don't want to kill the police, just trap them underground forever
completely and utterly retarded but on a first watch it isn't immediately immersion breaking
>>
>>214505311
Do you think any of them brought cards?
>>
>>214504514
>But Ledger’s performance covers up a lot of the dumbness.
That, and his untimely death. Like have the people who praised it as the second coming of Christ when it originally released actually gone back and watched it recently? I have, and it's very much the Ocean's Twelve of the Nolan Batman trilogy: self-indulgent and stupid, and a let down from the first film that the next film somewhat salvages. As >>214504716 said, Batman Begins is the only really good film in the trilogy, and while TDKR is memorable for the Bane shit and Bane essentially being proved right by IRL events since the pandemic, it's still a silly movie. I'd still watch it over TDK however, even if it is obvious where they changed things to make it PG-13.
>>
>>214505983
nah, it's one of the best movies ever made

no amount of contrarian seething can change that

>>
>>214503167
fucking lol
>>
>>214504514
>But Ledger’s performance covers up a lot of the dumbness.
Not really. It was hyped to all hell after he died. Otherwise, it was just a decent performance in a mediocre movie, with tons of silly parts.
>>
>>214506094
Joker is poorly written in the film. Change it with an antagonist nobody knows and it'd get the same treatment as Bane.
>>
>>214507112
any other copes?
>>
>>214503827
>"Hey, did anyone see where that school bus covered in dust very slowly drove?"
>"Yes office, it's a block down that way, and here's the licence plate"
>>
>>214501597
Because it's the best movie ever made
>>
>>214507054

Baz Dryvar?
>>
>Bus crashes through wall
>No one cares and just keeps driving, even allowing the bus to come back into the lane
>All the guys comically off each other in the flattest, non impactful manner
>The penthouse scene where Batman saves Rachel and then we just cut to the next day despite Joker being alone upstairs with all the guests and in a building with only a few exits that Batman can easily cover
>Joker being left alone with one cop inside the room with him
>Joker's plot armor of never getting hit by a goon, a cop, one of his bombs, he always has everything planned for
>The convoy goes down into the tunnel when one lane is blocked by a burning car yet the other is completely empty so they could just go there first
>The guy trying to expose Batman and Wayne Industries has irrefutable proof but turns into a blubbering, seething mess over wonky logic that he can dispute with ease
>>
>>214501597
Nolan films are campy.
The Batman and The Penguin is how you do gritty serious Batman.
>>
>>214501597
You had to be 12 years old in 2008.
>>
>>214502690
Right? It's so fucking unbelievable. It's just like if some dude would randomly cut some chick's throat on a train for no reason and calmly walk away, and everyone would just sit and watch as she slowly bleeds out. That would take me way out of the movie because nobody would ever just sit there doing nothing while a crime takes place.
