This movie blows chunks and exists for women to gawk at the totally weird!! Japanese people and excuse adultery to themselves. Save yourself the trouble and just watch a Wong Kar Wei film instead of this truly terrible movie.

I spent a month in Japan around 10 years ago when I was still somewhat fit before I got fat after getting out of the steamfitters and hadn't yet started school.

Anyway, 18 hour plane ride and I was drunk af the whole way.

Get there, immediately sleep for about 2 days straight.

I had taken Japanese as a second language course in high school so alot of it was still fresh, plus had been practicing with uncle who lived there for about 5 years back in the 70s.

I will say speaking somewhat decent Japanese helps you ALOT with getting laid. Women won't tell you if they're not interested though, you just kind of have to take non-caring/non-response as not interested.

Didn't have a tough time though. The first week I was there I got blown by three different girls. All of them had weird tits though. They wouldn't fuck without protection though.

Maybe halfway through second week had sex with a girl I met at a club in Roppongi and ended up dating her seriously. Her parents didn't like me because I was not Japanese.

Went back about a year later and she was engaged to some Japanese businessman guy and ended up sleeping with her multiple times. I am pretty sure I got her pregnant but the guy never found out.


Pretty clean country back then, now it's full of Indians and Africans seeking the prostitutes. So make sure you wrap it up. Speaking Japanese helps a ton too if you're not into hookers.

My advice though is try somewhere else like Vietnam or Taiwan instead of Japan or Thailand because those two are not overrun by Indians and tourists yet.

I will disagree. It's a good movie but it's basically just random crap about how Japanese people can't understand them.

Wong Kar Wai films are good but his films meander like crazy too and I never got into them apart from 2046 and Chungking Express. In The Mood For Love is good too but that one felt too much like 2046 to me but at least you got Maggie Cheung to look at throughout the movie. Those movies would be perfect if you got to see some nudity.

It's a somewhat autobiographical film about Sofia's time in Japan when she was married to Spike Jonze and had an affair with, most likely, Harrison Ford. She's a rich kid so what can you expect? That is the experience that's authentic to her.
