Why don't Star Wars fans just accept that their franchise has turned into trash instead of coming up with a million ways to justify the stupidity of the new content?
>>
>>214507742
Most fans I've met are perfectly willing to acknowlege that the new shit is garbage
>>
was star wars ever "good", even the originals you rewatch it now and it's like watching citizen kane or something like yeah okay the films were "important" but they weren't good
>>
i liked andor
>>
>>214507837
yeah, okay, andor was surprisingly good
maybe they should rather focus on non-jedi spin-off stories
>>
>>214507819
truke, it's the progenitor of the goyslop "mass media" phenomenon but at the end of the day it's a space show for babies
>>
>>214507837
andor is barely even star wars which is why it's so good
probably the first piece of star wars media to show self-restraint since the originals- no gay space wizards, no overdone CGI space battles, no lightsabers
>>
>>214507742
I feel sorry for Lucas. He always thought the mass appeal of Star Wars was that it was WW2 in Space so he kept trying to push for space battles but fans rejected his vidya ideas and drooled out "we want le epic farce and libsabres!"
So he tried to make the Prequels WW1 in space and cater to their autism and it didn't pan out.

>I liked Rapendor
You are the reason SW is in the state it is.
>>
>>214507742
>>214507877
I'm gonna be honest, if you're a grown man, I don't think you should be that emotionally invested in Star Wars. There's nothing wrong with enjoying it, but there's a difference between being a fan and a "fan" if you catch my drift.
>>
>>214507911
Maybe you should go back to Euphoria then.
>>
>>214507837
this
>>
>>214507915
>it didn't pan out.
Okay Stoklasa.
>>
>>214507819
star wars spawned some of the greatest video games of all time. The movie though? meh
>>
>>214507942
if you started out with the original trilogy the investment is sorta understandable, especially since it was so new. if you started out with the prequels and hold this franchise with any kind of reverence than you are the definition of a basedslop consoomer. the proto mcu capeshit fags
>>
>>214507942
god forbid grown men be emotionally invested in some useless shit to escape the rough reality of this grey-ass world
>>
>>214507942
>if you catch my drift
You should catch my balls into your mouth.
>>
>>214507976
>slop
Twitchniggers once again escaped their enclosure.
>>
it's amazing how the franchise keeps coming out with new shit that just doesn't register with me at all and /tv/ doesn't even talk about the new shows either
oh they made a show with jude law as the main? my level of interest is basically negative
>>
>>214508016
That is because they achieved something impressive - they managed to separate Star Wars and Disney Wars in most people's heads.
There is a delicate line where fucking with canon goes from rewriting history to straight up fanfiction that can be easily disregarded.
>>
>>214508048
Paramount has done the same thing with Star Trek
>>
>>214507742
It's pretty decent these days??
>>
>>214507980
>>214507976
Like I said, nothing wrong with enjoying a movie. But that's different from unironically being invested in a dedicated fanbase who gets angry over this kind of stuff.
>>
>>214507980
>emotionally invested in some useless shit to escape the rough reality of this grey-ass world
Yeah but from what I've seen, you guys get angry over this stuff. So it doesn't seem like much of an escapism to me.
>>
giving up childhood memories are not easy.
especially when it could be revived easily if disney wasn't trash
>>
>>214508145
>>214508146
this.
It’s not activism, it’s sorrow over something you used to like
>>
>>214507837
andor pissed me off because it gave a glimpse of an entirely different direction of the franchise, as much as I enjoyed it it actually soured things more for me, would've been a lot happier with my long-held position that star wars is dead

“I’m a stupid clownstronaut.”

Ignore this post.

The only "fans" justifying it are lefty culture warriors though. And they only do so to protect one of the vehicles spreading their political beliefs. There's nothing substantial beyond that
