Used to watch this every night at dinner time after school waiting for it to get good. It never really does and then it ends with the biggest nothing ending ever written. I think this was the first TV show that ever significantly disappointed me and the first time it ever occurred to me that a prime time TV show could actually be bad.

This scene didn’t just entertain me… it moved me. I still think about it every once in a while and have to come back to watch it. I't's been 8 years since I first watched The OA, and honestly, it’s such a shame Netflix cancelled this show. It had so much potential to become something truly one of a kind — and in just two seasons, it already was. I still don’t understand how or why they made that decision. Probably someone up there just didn’t have the patience or curiosity to really get what this show was doing. Their loss (and ours too). But wow… what a masterpiece. I really hope The OA finds its way to continue with the story, in whatever format they choose to make it.

By the end we realize he's talking to God and he can never go home. Al gets the happy ending but Sam must keep leaping to put the right that once was wrong. It hits you like a ton of bricks. Over the years I've thought about where the hell 70+ year old Sam is right now.

I liked El Camino more than BB finale. I didn't feel anything while watching the later, but with El Camino, even though it was unnecessary, and I agree with you there, there was a certain finality that just hit hard. Every flashback Jessie has, had dead people in it. Hell, even Robert Forster died before the release, the last living character to interact with Jessie and his actor had died. The whole thing was very somber.

I haven't seen season 15 ending but honestly season 5 was horrible and the final episode would be considered a shitty ending if the show ended there. People are just looking at it with rose tinted sunglasses since it was 10 seasons ago.
In the episode and the episodes leading to it, Sam and Dean barely talk about the plan of caging Sam with Lucifer forever, then in the final episode Sam gets possessed and Dean just pats him in the back like "off you go" as if his brother isn't heading out to be tortured for all eternity by no one but the devil himself. The very end with Sam dead and Dean becoming a normie step dad wasn't a bad idea, but everything leading up to it was poorly done.

I accept season 15 as the ending but I don't view S5 as horrible (it's definitely better than the s15 finale). It was a mostly dark show that ended on a dark but hopeful theme. Sam had his happy moment when he left the family to go to college prior to the start of the show. He was always destined to be Lucifer's vessel, since it was written as the word of God. The seasons show him trying to escape his fate but the best he could do was to convince his brother to leave that life behind and have a normie life.

S15's finale tries a role reversal where Sam is the one given the happily ever after.

It's not the worst, but it is pretty bad.
I like some of the ideas done, such as the final montage mainly because Francis being a 1:1 copy of his dad without kids, the boys at home realizing they still will be the boys, or even the 6th child.

But the whole idea of the plotline for the ending being: Lois rejects a literal 1 on a 1000 chance for Malcolm just to fufill some weird ass idea that ends up not being true (going by what they have said about the revival), it's just so fucking bad.

The Lost World ended on a cliffhanger thinking they'd get a season 4. Basically, the cliffhanger is that the world ends.
