>be Disney around 2019
>we're expanding IPs like Star Wars and Marvel
>Making more movies each year
>Starting our own streaming service so you'll be able to watch shows from home each week
>constant spinoffs of lesser known characters
>CONTENT CONTENT CONTENT!
>it'll be a golden age for nerds

Why did this model fail so spectacularly? It sounded good on paper, or was it flawed to begin with?. Did they stretch their resources too thin? Poor management? Too much political messaging? Or did people just lose interest from oversaturation?

oversaturation and too much slop
thisis the same mistake marvel comics made in the '90s, they made too many comics at once (including up to five monthly titles for Spider-man alone) and readership lost interest. they've never recovered which is why they "reboot" every few years
now they're making the same mistake. there is too much marvelslop and too little time. RDJ is being rebooted as doctor doom but good luck getting anyone to care.

Excitement got deflated immediately because of the demoralizing flaws with WandaVision + The Falcon & The Winter Soldier their first 2 Mcu series.

> WV was great until they ruined it by making Quicksilver a fucking joke and then at the end giving unreasonable sympathy to Wanda + arresting the white guy who was just trying to save the town + no Mephisto.

> TF&TWS shockingly executed US Agent well and didn't make him a despicable caricature despite the show around him acting like they did. But then they added incoherent race BS + the bald black bitches humiliating Walker + Bucky/Sam being unreasonably hostile to Walker and overwhelmingly disastrously of all: Sam defending far left terrorist at the end which put a severe damper on any and all hype for Sam's own Cap movie. Sam was a perfectly reasonable likable character up to this series and they spit acid in the face of anyone willing to give a black Cap a chance.

Too much stuff, not enough of it was written even halfway decent.

And it was all downhill from there. No further Mcu series besides Born Again was as good as the best parts of WV and then shit like She-Hulk was immeasurably worse.

Because instead of focusing of providing more material which was what made these IPs so valuable, they used these valuable IPs to push their agenda. Thus creating an endless flow of garbage with these IPs as a skinsuit.

It didnt fail. In fact it worked. Disney and Disney+ are going to survive the streaming war despite being a late arrival. Look at 20th Century FOX, or Peacock or WBD or Paramount or Apple TV or any of their competitors. None of them are going to survive unless they consolidate or give up control of their libraries. Meanwhile Disney keeps it all

Star wars was bound to fail when they destroyed the extended universe of the books, Comics etc to create Mary Sue characters and openly shit on the legacy. They then claimed it was hard to come up with good Stories because there were no books. It was a shit Show from the very start. And amazon is on their quest to destroy Lotr. Tried to destroy warhammer. Netflix destroyed the Witcher. Nerds live in sad Times

Lately I watched Disney for old shows or stuff they bought the rights for Like Bob's burgers

DEI writers rooms that couldn't produce media as good as their 00s 90s 80s 70s equivalents

Maybe nerds should just grow up

Because literally every studio was doing the same thing. Trying be their own Netflix. Too late. Netflix has the largest and most loyal subscribers. People won’t pay for more than a few streaming services. This is why all these studios are trying to merge and build up their catalogues of IPs. Everything is going steaming and the only ones with biggest libraries that make it worth having a subscription wins

I still want the MSheU to have more superheroines than superheroes like Feige wanted in 2018. Incels and manchildren BTFO.

>Hollywood hate men and squander male-dominated franchises.
>Help, we need men to watch our movies.
>>
>make everything about strong women, negroes and gays
>flops spectacularly
Who could have predicted this
