It also made Marcus retarded and had a stupid mechanism with the Corvinus blood, with it "upgrading" Selene's powers. Just dumb. Viktor was the coolest part of Underworld. Him just walking around without using guns separated him from the other vampires. Once he died, the series died with him. Also a great actor. Viktor is the quentessential elder vampire to me, when I think of such things in Vampire the Masquerade.

All three movies offer sincere creativity in both plot and world building. They have thought of Interesting setting and filled it with the memorable and cool characters, so it's worth watching for that alone.
