Actors no longer have "star power" the way they used to. People don't go see "a Tom Hanks movie" or "a George Clooney movie," etc. anymore.

Show me any movie in this timeline that requires intelligence. You could even make a show like 24 anymore because our lower IQ populace would find it too hard to follow. Ideas, politics, complex dialogue - all out of movies now. Yeah, exceptions happen, but only rarely.

Plus, it's all 100% propaganda now, and everyone knows that has to be simple so it's effective. They hit you over the head with their message because it's not about art or even thought, it's about control.
