John Wick made it so that every modern action movie is about a total heckin badass ex-whatever fighting armies of faceless goons, spouting made-for-trailer lines and doing retarded takedown moves for audience reactions. The average modern audience members doesn't have the IQ or attention for something like The Peacemaker, and it wasn't even a complicated plot.

Yeah kinda sucks. I think also people stopped thinking cia was a bunch of super smart boy scouts out to save america from the heckin baddies. People realised the alphabet agencies are just attack dogs for the globalists.

Actors no longer have "star power" the way they used to. People don't go see "a Tom Hanks movie" or "a George Clooney movie," etc. anymore.

Social media destroyed it, because too many actors and celebs got too familiar with common dirtsuckers on places like Twitter, not to mention all the seemingly harmless yet mystique-murdering humiliation ritual bullshit they allow themselves to participate in these days (Hot Ones, Uber Car Karaoke or whatever the fuck, etc.)

So no, some one-shot flick even with "A Listers" is too big a risk for Hollywood grubs to take, now. They did it to themselves.

Show me any movie in this timeline that requires intelligence. You could even make a show like 24 anymore because our lower IQ populace would find it too hard to follow. Ideas, politics, complex dialogue - all out of movies now. Yeah, exceptions happen, but only rarely.

Plus, it's all 100% propaganda now, and everyone knows that has to be simple so it's effective. They hit you over the head with their message because it's not about art or even thought, it's about control.
