How did it take six seasons for these idiots to get caught?

They had to give Paige time to turn 18

This show is massively overrated. Skip from the end of S1 to the start of the last season and you won't miss anything besides their daughter becoming a spy, which never matters at all anyways and is just an excuse for them to milk 1.5 seasons worth of drama out of Philip going "I WON'T ALLOW THIS" before he meekly allows it

For me, it was Philip's hebe informant.

I'm about to finish S5, and you're not wrong. The show is just the characters running in place. Nothing ever happens.

I mean I still enjoyed it. Actually just watched it last winter.

Very bad acting by the two leads. Trash overrated basic cable show like Breaking Bad.

The creator
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Weisberg

>Weisberg grew up in a Jewish family in Chicago,[9] the son of civil rights attorney Bernard Weisberg and former Commissioner of Cultural Affairs Lois Weisberg.[2] He is the younger brother of Slate Group editor-in-chief Jacob Weisberg.[2]

>In 2024, Weisberg and The Americans co-showrunner Joel Fields signed an open letter by more than 1,000 Jewish creatives and professionals denouncing Jonathan Glazer's acceptance speech for The Zone of Interest at the 96th Academy Awards, in which Glazer had criticized Israel's actions during the Gaza war, as well as the Israeli occupation of Palestinian Territories.[10]

He's a subversive who made the theme of the show shitting on Reagan era America.
