He can't beat this thing that keeps taking him away from a husband in a marriage. Story implies it's some duality of man of cheating/preying/sex clubbing, but it's unnecessarily secretive + hidden in a basement of other men pretending not to know each other to stay anon, then the mistress/gf finds wedding band shrieking "you're not a man!" yeah I'm thinking it's another gay metaphor
