>moves despite not having a nervous system to control the muscles
The only explanation is magic; only witchcraft can create that kind of undead.

Thank you for your input, Zero-Imagination-Lad.

To be honest, everything about that scene was the lowest point in the movie.
>one zombie chained to a bed results in entire armed marine squad dying
>the (only) moving dead flesh
>drug-running traitor prisoner ripping out his own teeth because he heard the North Koreans did that to their entire population to stop them from biting others (apparently he's a humanitarian now?)
>entire armed, fortified military base has zero plans, zoning, defenses, or control of their territory (but plenty of bicycles)
To be perfectly honest, Mr. Harvard slipping on the wet plane ramp and shooting himself in the head by accident is the least egregious part of the scene. Still a great movie, and the scene was necessary for the plot, going from Patient Zero to "How did Israel know ahead of time?". I just find that whole section to be its lowest point.

>Bradu Pitto lands on the carrier with his family
>asked to help a young harvard genius get into and out of South Korea to visit the site of patient zero
>refuses
>told only useful people can stay on the carrier and refusing means the boot
>flies to SK with the genius
>plane attacked by zombies after landing, genius slips on the ramp and shoots himself
>Pitt goes with marines into base to see patient zero
>is told the whole trip was a waste because they burned patient zero and an entire marine squad to death, with OP's pic being the ashy room. Pic's fingers curl and twitch despite being a charred skeleton
>talks to ex-CIA prisoner who was grabbed for selling guns to North Korea, who tells him to find out why Israel hurried to finish their thousand-years-of-construction wall only days before the outbreak
>flies to Israel

I don't think a single piece of zombie media can maintain consistent internal logic for 5 fucking minutes, even when you handwave away all the usual zombie magic bullshit. Don't get me started on "Romero rules" universes where everyone who dies for any reason comes back, but people who turned literally seconds ago have bites that are still infectious with something. Remember when The Walking Dead had a plot point of The Saviors coating their weapons in zombie blood to make people turn, but also went out of its way to show Rick cutting his hand on a knife impaled through a zombie and nothing happened?

reminder that when you die you stay conscious locked inside a broken decaying body in a coffin until it completely disintegrates and you turn into a ghost
