Well, after an unexpected outcome, Jamie Kennedy finally explained everything in 2021. There's seemingly an unseen archived version that's ultimately superior, and extended, that was forcibly cut down before being overstuffed with special effects and ridiculous moments. It was actually a very cinematic comic book movie that, in Jamie's words, "Became an ADHD clusterfuck" because so much was removed and changed. So beforehand, everything about it feeling like a Joel Schumacher movie was actually intentional and a slow burn with better payoff. Wherever this version of the movie is, if it's still intact, should be acknowledged and seen so we can see why sometimes studio interferences is unacceptable.
