>>
Better Call Saul is fun 'cause it explains the backstories behind a lot of Breaking Bad characters.

Contrarian fags on here will disagree, but this show was very boring at least half the time. They stretched 2 seasons of content into 6 seasons.

Everything after Ted dies fucking sucks

I was referring to Better Call Saul

This. In BB he's a coward who turns into a blubbering wreck anytime someone looks at him funny, and only competent in comparison to s2 Walt and Jesse's retardation.
In BCS he is fearlessly negotiating with top level cartel guys, near fails in his schemes and has Heisenberg esque alter egos. He's basically just Walter White with law instead of science.

BCS gets worse and worse after Chuck dies. The last season is offensively bad. You can tell how much the show hated itself and how much the show writers loathed their creation. It's disappointing.

He's also only really Saul Goodman for about five whole minutes. Every other minute and hour of the show he's either Jimmy or Gene. He's BB-era BB-personality BB-office Saul for a scene or two, no more.

Remember in Breaking Bad how it made it seem like Jimmy was Saul and had that office for more than five minutes? How he introduced Walt to Ira's crew after having a history with them? Where did that history go? They didn't record it

A show about Saul Goodman and they more or less skip over Saul Goodman, including established Saul Goodman history

If I wanted to actually watch scenes of Saul Goodman be Saul Goodman I'd inevitably have to watch Breaking Bad, not Better Call Saul

I thought it was going to be a slow burn or slow character development and that he would become Saul gradually, but no, he becomes Saul as gracefully and subtly as Anakin becomes Darth Vader. Kim leaves him, fast forward, he's balding and has prostitutes, he's Saul for five FUCKING minutes, then you've got Gene until the show dies a miserable death.

Years I waited for this. What a sick joke.

So yeah you can watch it without watching Breaking Bad because if feels like the show was written by people who didn't watch Breaking Bad either

I only imagine the first and final seasons being affected by having not seen BB. It was a little cringe-worthy and excessive with easter eggs at times, with no prior knowledge it may appear weird that they are fixating on things with seemingly no plot relevance. Also toward the end, the cameos add virtually nothing.

I would say just watch BB first, both shows are great.

It's a spin-off with whole seasons made of filler, not a good introduction
>>
>>214529323
It would probably elevate the viewing experience since you won’t know who lives or dies going into breaking bad

It's like watching Rogue One or Solo without watching the original Star Wars. Why bother? Prequels whole premise is about spinning out the original by answering questions no one was asking

You can do whatever you like, in fact you might appreciate Breaking Reddit a little more after watching Better Call Raul.

No.
1) You'll be watching, the camera is slowly panning up, the music is building up. Boom music sting. "Huh? Who are these guys? you'll say". It happens all the time. The context is they're bringing back a BB character and you're supposed to mark out.
2) The second part of the final season takes place after BB, like 7 years later. You'll be sitting there wondering why they spent seasons building him up to be a crooked lawyer and then skipped it when he finally was.
Basically the thing was designed to be a prequel that is watched second.
