Maybe I'm super out of touch and retarded, but literally just through Youtube Shorts, I became aware that there are apparently a whole class of movies now dramatizing and making a narrative out of things like the invention of the Gameboy, Tetris, the Blackberry, etc. Like, I kind of got the old Steve Jobs movie, kinda, I guess. i feel like the big wave of these was a couple of years ago and now they've dried up a little. but yes it's pretty much the "musician biopic" slop but with inventions and businesses instead. the worst one i saw was about the invention of one particular flavor of fucking cheetos and then it turned out it wasn't even real, the spic the movie is about lied about everything. blackberry was actually pretty decent compared to that.

Yeah I saw a short of that too. It was literally about how some fucking rando Mexican was like "Maybe we make spicy?" and this whole dramatic thing about how they took a risk on it and it became huge.

the best part is that the movie tells you that the flavor was so good because it was developed by an authentic mexican and his authentic mexican wife using authentic mexican ingredients with their authentic mexican children serving as taste testers, and then you look it up and it's all a lie and the actual flavor was developed by some white people in a lab in ohio like every other fucking thing they make

It's a good movie, but it takes a lot of artistic liberties with the story.

Nevertheless, it is one of the few films I've encountered that properly presents the moment Steve Jobs unveiled the iPhone as one most important events in post-9/11 human history.

Weird movie. It's not that funny, but you hire only comedy actors. It doesn't work. It's still "fun" just not laughing fun. And the makeup is just terrible.

Dennis was really good. Overall I could tell they made it on a very small budget, but it was entertaining.

I watched this in theaters and this line made me completely lose it, it came out of nowhere. Me and my buddies would quote that video all the time so it was surreal seeing it in an actual movie.
