Finally watched it and thought it was alright. One thing that bothered me, though, was how overly emotional Superman came across. Compared to other versions in the DCAU, DCAMU, Superman vs. The Elite, Red Son, All-Star Superman, the Arrowverse, and more (DCEU doesn’t count, it’s shit), this Superman lacks an important trait I’ve always liked -- being well-mannered.
If those other versions were put in the same situations as this one, they wouldn’t lose control of their emotions so easily. Sure, they’d be frustrated by Lois’s questions or angry at Lex for kidnapping his dog, but they wouldn’t scream or smash up furniture over it.
