I just watched The Shining on 4k Blu-ray. It was like listening to the soundtrack for the first time.

The audio was perfectly downmixed to stereo, unlike the garbage I've seen on Prime Video. Everything was clear and audible.

It's a shame normies want to kill this format.

You don't need UHD to have a stereo sound mix. Many of my DVDs have 5.1 surround sound. You also don't need it for Atmos. Standard Blu-ray can do that.

Yeah, but why not? All of my 4ks came with the Blu-ray version too. Not a huge difference in visual quality, but I'm def getting an OLED TV when they come down in price.
