He's decent but way too gimmicky and honestly overhyped by normalfags. A lot of his appeal comes from the fact that he's so selective about his scripts. I'm looking forward to the horrible shitshow where he's gonna act for his nepobaby son's directorial debut which is gonna out him as a fraud.

There were exceptions though. He was quite restrained in this one. He's able of subtle performances, it's just that directors keep hiring him to do the "I'M ACTING!!!" bit because it turns out, you also need talent to overact.

Watch Gangs of New York and it will easily show you just how cartoonish this guy really is. His bit is good, but in that movie it goes on for too long and his “acting” becomes painfully obvious.
