Billy Walsh was too far up his own ass and Vince was too malleable/easily got caught up in emotions. They couldn't see the forest for the trees.

Entourage hasn't aged particularly well, especially for an HBO original, but the fact that the big movie production arch ends with "...well that fucking sucked" was honestly pretty funny.
