>>214587346Yeah it really felt like a cop out just how much stuff they've backtracked on in just 3 episodes, so far I can't tell if it bothers me more that they immediately got everyone left in Elmyra outta there within the first few minutes, or that Marie was the only one to actually escape the complex off-screen and leaving everyone else in there to rot for the sake of generating any sort of fissure between her and Jordan (an already shit romance might I add, didn't even remember they hooked up back in season 1), Sam going back to normal after the mindrape he suffered thanks to Cate was a pretty convenient asspull as well, nothing in season 1 ever hinted at her powers' effects having a time limit, in other cases I'd say it's a good thing that they retroactively nerfed her to that extent, but after the arm loss coupled with the brain damage I'd say they're just overcompensating even further for writing themselves into a corner by making her mind control that strong in the first place.

Personally I don't like how the character's death is so flip flopped between being a thing they blame on him or that they "knew" he was like that, mainly because it's also attached to an actual death of the actor who played it.The one thing I like it's the powers they are showing except butt chugging guy, but they are literally doing the same shit of the comics: "haha imagine a hero having dog powers, but he's actually a zoophile!
