It doesn't work as an interstitial between scenes in a TV show. It doesn't work in a "special" format with gay skits. It doesn't work as a podcast thats 5x longer than it would ever need to be. Even attending live standup is inferior to experiencing it on a CD or LP. Boomers understood this, but it's lost on newer generations because people think they know better.
