Why did Warner Brothers hate Zack Snyder, Henry Cavill and Ray Fisher so much? Oh by the way they actually fired Zack Snyder months before the tragedy of his daughter, and WB used it as a PR cover story for why he wasn't going to finish Justice League because they didn't want the press to think they didn't have faith in what Snyder had shot.
Go to bed, Zack.
>>214632006They never wanted him to begin with. They wanted Nolan. Since Nolan wouldn’t commit to doing a Superman movie but agreed to write and produce they went along. They hoped they could lure Bale back as Batman to team up with the new Superman since Nolan was involved. There was rumors Bale was going to do a post credit cameo at the end of MOS. Never happened. Instead MOS was a critical bomb. Heavily divided opinion and got terrible word of mouth. WB wanting to replace his ass after that but nobody they wanted would take it so they were stuck with him
>>214632006Sir, please.
>>214632006The execs hated Man of Steel even though they got exactly what they paid for by hiring the 300 dude to make a Superman movie. Maybe they were angry that he didn't do more cool slow-mo shots?
>>214632736They wanted the dark knight levels of box office success and acclaim and instead got a box office flop that divided the fandom
>>214632736You are right. They should’ve known better. But they thought because Superman Returns was a borefest that the obvious solution is have a director where Superman turns Metropolis to 9-11 on steroids
>>214632006I can't say, but Superman under-performing served them right
>>214632916It wasn’t that MOS under performed. It didn’t. It was the horrific reviews and terrible word of mouth which caused it to drop 67% its second weekend. Snyder retards can’t grasp that it pretty much guarantees a sequel will bomb unless it has a major overhaul. Which why the WB was looking for a different director and when they couldn’t get one demanded Batman be in the follow up.
>>214632669I still wish Miller got to make Justice League Mortal.
I like the rumor that WB wanted Michal Bay for MoS2.If you base your movie idea on Superman X Destruction, there is no one better.
>>214633706Miler turned it down because didn’t want to end up what happened to Whedon. Stuck with Snyder’s mess. There was no good way to go after MOS. And WB couldn’t reboot Superman for a 3rd time in a row. There only hope at time was Batman being brought in to salvage it
It's pretty funny that Superman is pretty much a remake of Black Adam. Half of the movie is spent on the JSA/Justice Gang. The finale is some CGI fistfight between the main character and a guy that shows up out of nowhere.
>>214633835That’s pretty much every capeshit movie trying to start a new Universe. Iron Man had Nick Fury and Black Widow show up which led into Hawkeye showing up in Thor.
>>214632006>BvS gets criticized for having too many characters>Superman 2025 has Superman, Hawkgirl, Lex, Green Lantern, Metamorpho, Mr Terrific, Jimmy Olsen, Rick Flag Sr and Maxwell LordWhy is it only bad when Zack does it?
>>214634092All those characters are in the Superman Universe and not A list characters. They were side character and outside Mr Terrific were hardly in the movie. It was Hal Jordon GL or John Stewart. With BvS had a new Batman who was also the star of the movie. Wonder Woman. A new Lex. Main JL characters being introduced and Doomsday/Death of Superman
>>214634092BvS didn't have too many characters. What it did have was blatant built-in ads for future movies that don't contribute anything to the movie you're actually watching. The scene where Wonder Woman watches a bunch of security footage of the other heroes in folders decorated with their little logos was so fucking shameless I actually felt second-hand embarrassment for Zack.
>>214634298Even more embarrassing is when he had Bruce Wayne aping Nick Furry as he went off recruiting members. It was so bad
>>214633835>guy that shows up out of nowhereThe movie begins with Superman losing a fight against him.>>214633903Iron Man didn't have Nick Fury until a post credits scene in a time where people didn't even think to check if movies had those. IM2 was where they went into overdrive to establish things now that the ball was actually rolling to make an Avengers movie. The first Iron Man was a very standalone affair.
>>214634298Yeah. The closest Marvel equivalent would be the scene in Age of Ultron where Thor wanders off and learns about the Infinity Stones.
>>214632006>Zack Snyder, box office poison followed by cultists that are nothing but bad publicity>Henry Cavillbox office poison with a bad agent>Ray Fisherbox office poison and annoying loud retard
