Why has the Roganverse broken so many critic's brains?

because they took over comedy from the alt comic lefty weirdos that now barely get any work
the rogansphere ruined comedy. bunch of hacks in a cult of personality that has forgot about entertainment. i just hope we can get back to a kind of absurdist comedy because im tired of comedians trying to sell me betterhelp and talking about their tour habits.

For the same reason there are very few food critics who get lunch at Wendy's before dinner at the latest Omakase in Queens. Podcasts in general, but especially shoot the shit podcasts derived from drivetime talk radio are already the bane of people who watch well produced quality shit every day. Lets face it the most idiotic Paulie Shore movie is more intelligent, has better production and a more cohesive script than an episode of the Joe Rogan podcast. But more people are gonna listen to Joe Rogan this week than see One Battle After Another in theatres. More people will see 2 hours of Joe Rogan in the next 4 months than will see 2 hours of Paul Thomas Anderson directing Leo DiCaprio before the Oscars. That's ultimately why Critics hate the Roganverse. On top of that all those great comedies that evolved since 2004 have sort of been thrown away for a return to their low-rent Bro Comedy that was the bane of critics in the 90s and 00s.
