What was it?

I don't see much of a difference. It was just more lyrical. But they were still singing about fucking bitches, muh dick and whining about whitey. all the "intellectual" rappers also had 10 different baby mommas.

in 10 years zoomers will praise "original" mumble rap and other shit from their youth because gen alpha will be fed on AI slop

This is like saying you dont see much difference between Jimi Hendrix and whoever is the guitarist for Nickelback, they both just pluck the strings on their guitars after all, the former is just better at it.
>>

My point is if you don't like Rock music you don't listen to neither Jimi Hendrix Experience nor Nickelback
>>
>>214664719
Well yeah... if that was your point it was a rather obvious one to make.

'Cause you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable
And life's like an hourglass glued to the table
No one can find the rewind button, girl
So cradle your head in your hands
And breathe, just breathe
Oh, breathe, just breathe

I would like you to expand on why Jimi Hendrix is a better guitarist than Char Kroeger. Please do so without using the words influence or influential.
>>
Jimi Hendrix could never write Hero. Enough said.

The not obvious part is that perception changes over time. Back then I liked rap because I wanted to fit in and as an ESL I could barely understand the lyrics. Nowadays I cannot get over what they are singing/rapping and what image they are promoting (still to this day), so the whole genre died to me. I see other dads my age with snapback hiphop cappies blasting old school hiphop and I just find it very cringe, like they have a midlife crisis
