The story is. I wish they could be faithfully refilmed with more creative camera angles. Much of those movies are shot/reverse-shot or camera in one place not moving too much.

Hopefully AI will make a version of those movies where the camera moves more. Thinking shots where the camera crawls on the floor before rising to a character's face or some shit. They could have done it. Money and greenscreens weren't a real issue, IMO.

The prequels have issues but the camerawork is not one of them. JJ Abrams moved away from the classic Lucas style to give us shaky-cam scenes, and it was crap.

Disagree. Camera work is the only issue. JJ Abrams (or y'know anyone with camera talent) should have been incharge of the cameras, but otherwise the story should have been all George. No compromises.

I can't think of a single memorable, iconic shot in the sequels, whereas the Lucas film have a number of them. Twin suns, the approach to Mos Eisley, various images from Kamino and Mustafar, etc.
