I liked it, he was a piece of shit and a few times maybe overracted but it had good pacing and tension. But how did you feel about Velvet Buzzsaw?

KINO
Gyllenhaal is a way better actor than I gave him credit before watching it.
>>
>>214694208
is this film any good?
>>
>>214694559
It's actually a fantastic movie about the entrepreneurial american spirit
>>
>>214694129
Watched half an hour, he neither turned blue nor teleported once.
Turned it off
>>
>>214694907
I liked it but it was kind of stupid in the premise. The pacing and atmosphere is somewhat Netflix version of "We have Nightcrawler at home."

>is this film any good?
It is completely fucking retarded but still unique but gillyhall plays his part well, even if he is playing a complete fag
I would say it is a flick worth watching but dont expect much
>>
>>214694129
It was good, but only worth watching once
>>
>>214694920
based.
>>214694559
Nightcrawler's portrayal of how the news sausage is made is pants-on-head retarded. I suspended my disbelief because the film is kino otherwise, but no, none of this shit works the way it is shown in the film.

Novel view into the industry/monetization of spectacle. Explores themes relevant to the modern engagement driven internet, where tragedy and outrage make the big ad bucks
>>
>>214695811
>Novel view
Network did it back in 1976 though
>>
>>214694129
Kino and Gyllenhaal has one of genuine I Wuz Robbed non-nomination cases.
>>
>>214695940
Network had fuck all to do with stringers. Not to mention how low-scale the audience baiting is in Nightcrawler.

STRAIGHT OUT OF HELL

DON'T LOOK BEHIND YOU
>>
>>214696020
he said nothing about stringers in that post, the subject matter and the whole point of the film is somewhat similar to the film Network
>>
>>214695107
>playing a complete fag
He keeps pressuring that woman for sex
>>
>>214696322
it's also somewhat similar to hundreds of other films
>>
>>214695566
Demolition is terrible and is the start of his every movie sucking. I wish he'd won an award for Nightcrawler, he have up when that didn't happen
>>
>>214696322
The "novel view" obviously refers to Lou's actual job as a stringer, he is not working for the channel. And that's primarily the focus of the movie, the channel being cynical over the grousome footage Lou sells is secondary to the actual psychopathic "work ethic" that the movie follows. Network doesn't show how the footage is created and nobody exploits Lou, he exploits them. So again, fuck all to do with the topic of the movie. If this is your frame of reference then literally any movie that takes place in news media room can be automatically showed into "le Netwotk did it"
>>
>>214695736
>>214695771
I still havent watched this, can you sell it to me, why you think it is good and why it is watchable.
I got like 2 mins in and it was all coombait shit, seemed retarded
>>
>>214696848
it's an adaptation of a saramago novel the double, and it's kinda a bit surrealist type film
>>
>>214697009
That was not selling it for me that was making sure I never watch it
>>
>>214697059
good boi, it's shit
