>>214698412It's called the "Revival era" because Tangled brought Disney back into relevance after making a series of unremarkable (by box office standards) movies during the 00s. I personally like a lot of 00s Disney stuff but it was more experimental and less appealing to wider audiences. They kept trying to appeal to little boys rather than little girls and failing. It's a sign of the decline in every Disney era.

Disney always reverts back to princesses to get big, then gets bored and starts doing more interesting experimental stuff, then when that becomes unprofitable they revert back to princesses.Albeit modern Disney has Frozen to fall back on. Frozen 3 will make at least 1.5 billion.
