>According to a report by The Wrap, the past 12 months have been unproductive. Lionsgate distributes Hollywood blockbusters including The Hunger Games, John Wick, The Twilight Saga, and Saw franchises. But despite its huge catalog, it is simply not enough for the AI to produce quality content.
>"The Lionsgate catalog is too small to create a model,” a source tells The Wrap. β€œIn fact, the Disney catalog is too small to create a model.”

Oh boohoo. Get fucked Lionsgate

Hey try making 20 more saw movies that might do something
>>
Clickbait shit ''article''
What they are saying is that you can't train an AI model purely on Lionsgate movies. If they could train a model purely on movies that they own it would make everything they do legal. They could use AI with no problems. But the training data is too small so you will have to use other movies to train it, which means you are open to lawsuits. So nothing changed. This shitty article is reporting on a company trying to find an exploit and not finding it.
This is like if someone tried to find gold in a river no one tried looking for gold in. No gold is found and nothing has changed.
>PROSPECTOR IS STRUGGLING TO FIND GOLD. GOLD IS OVER. NO MORE GOLD EXISTS.
>>
It's nice to know that they aren't planning to make better films

Turns out AI jeets were wrong. The more I read about AI, the more I see that AI is a big bubble that can't replace human work, even in art. Only the bottom tier artists got replaced. For the rest, it's just a nothingburger. Even AI Jeet movies like AIsha, got their production pushed back because the end result was probably too appalling for the screen testers
These fags better start working with real movies again if they want to survive as a studio
>>
>>214739054
err many humans have already been replaced. And you think this tech peaked?
>>
>>214739044
No atudio plans on making better films. They plan on making more slop that makes money.

Unfortunately studio heads are too stupid to know what happens when you keep making copies of copies.

>mentally ill reads a clickbait article
>doesn't understand what it's even saying
>''yep, this confirms all my retarded beliefs!''

Pretty sure the point is that basically no one has a big enough library to train their own model.
And what this means is that companies will lie and steal other people's shit.
>>
>>214738910
Lionsgate was always.... bad studio. Apart Wick, none of their movies are good.

That's just proof of what normies been saying for years. AI/llm is trained on existing things. AI is based on IP infringement. Legally AI should be only allowed to train on dictionaries

what do you think humans do to produce "new" content, there's nothing new under the Sun
>>
No one should be surprised by this, Faceberg literally admitted that they trained their AI on pirated books.
AI as a corporate tool is never going to go anywhere because IP law kind of kneecaps it, and no company is going to go against IP law for obvious reasons, so now it's a trillion dollar industry with almost no use, since no one company has enough training data that they explicitly own the copyright to to create anything useful out of it.
>>

The tool doesn't work when you factor 8j ethical data harvesting

>you can train yourself to be a director by watching lots of movies, then use your background knowledge of other studios to profit
>but AI isn't allowed to do the same
What is the mental justification for this?

>>214739155
>keep making tons of shit films
>eventually have a large enough library of films to train AI
>make even more shit films but now at a lower cost
Genius move really

IP law.
Y'know, that thing that all these companies have lobbied for and pushed to extend for the last 70 years?
