>Aired 21 years ago this weekLet's have a LOST thread in honour of its memory. You are watching it this week right, anons?>Favourite character?>Least favourite character>What did you think the island actually was?>Favourite episode?>Favourite season?>Team Jack or Team Locke?>Favourite DHARMA station>What mystery intrigued you most?>What did you feel was the most wasted potential on the show?
>>214746153>le ebin mindfuck tv showno thanks
>>214746153That scene in the OP with Locke and Walt always had a weird vibe. Like I wasn’t sure if he was alluding to race or what. And then Michael later on not wanting Walt to hang out with Locke, part of me thought he was going to turn out to be a pedophile Klansman and Walt was going to be like >Hey dad, what’s a spear-chucker? Mr. Locke says me and you are spear-chuckers — doesn’t that mean we should join the hunting party?
Never watched it and I was an adult 21 years ago.
>>214746244light and dark = jacob and MIBalso the buildup to locke being one of those characters who knows more than he's letting on only to reveal that he's just as L O S T as the rest of them was unmatched kino
Just stopping by to say I hate Kate.
>>214746273Old ass mf. Go take care of your grandkids. Your shitposting days are behind you
>>214746574Every dog shit thread on /tv/ is made by someone younger than 35 or a jeet.
>>214746153everything of Kate belongs to Sawyer and that's fact
>Team Jack or Team Locke?Jack was so consistently insufferable and that was even when Locke was at his worst (somewhere around season 4), I was always sided with Locke. He's my favorite character, which is why I'm so upset that he was used to prop up Ben in the later seasons instead.
>on of the most influential shows in /tv/'s history>10 reply in 40 minutesI guess everyone else moved on but me
>>214746993Not just you. Ever since watching Lost I've been wanting something to match the sense of mystery and intrigue from the 1st season. Nothing I've seen afterwards was able to rival Lost at its best. I was hoping for Severance to be the "next Lost", but I quickly grew disillusioned with it.What about you anon? Have you seen anything that comes close to Lost at its height?
frank lapenis
>>214746232lol not even close
>>214746993>>on of the most influential shows in /tv/'s historyThat's because /tv/ is full of retards that only post about shows that have meme potential or waifus. I remember when The 100 was /tv/'s favorite show.
>>214746993yeah, its influence has been to teach audiences never get invested in a mystery driven show
>>214746471Yes but that was a retcon
>>214746915Juliet was by far better wife material than Kate.Kate was stupid crazy hot granted, but also stupid and crazy
>>214747140I'm really upset that we only got 1 (ONE) episode of Sawyer and Juliet's life together in Dharmatown. But I guess that's what makes that one episode special.
>>214747128Too true. Yet I miss it, that sense of mystery from seasons 1 to 3. I never got passed the fifth season, I think. And that's probably for the best.
For me it was Claire. As a teen I was smitten by her
>>214746232holy shit how retarded are you lmao do you sweat watching blues clues
>>214746244Michael was insecure as fuck. He hadn't seen Walt since he was a baby prior to the crash, well maybe visits once in a blue moon. That's why. And the fact they just crashed on an island and everyone is a stranger with monster noises in the jungle. And Locke was being weird and mysterious at the time.
>>214746153I had a shower thought about LOST today:What if at the end scene the characters all had angel wings? This could be cheesy but then everyone knows that angel wings = you are dead and going to heaven.I think the show would have been a lot better understood and not as many people would be confused maybe nobody. Jacks Dad simply explains that the flash sideways was your journey to get here. The island is real and all your experiences on Earth were very real. Now the retards catch up and it becomes the GOAT TV ending.
>>214747376by far the best girl and still gorgeous today
>>214747511>Haibane Renmei x LostFor people like Locke this would've worked, but angel wings on Hurley or Sayid would look incredibly stupid
>>214747517Anon, I made those posts and even I have to admit that she walled hard in season ~3But I did watch a couple of bad movies with her because of Lost, like Remember Me
>>214747511i think they couldn't have made it any clearer than it already was desu
>>214747130Wasnt he supposed to die in the pilot?
>>214746153>Favourite character?Mr. Eko>Least favourite characterBoone>What did you think the island actually was?Parallel reality>Favourite episode?S1E16 Outlaws (Sawyer and the Boar)>Favourite season?2>Team Jack or Team Locke?Jack all the way>Favourite DHARMA stationThe Swan>What mystery intrigued you most?Mikhail and The Flame station>What did you feel was the most wasted potential on the show?Mr Eko's story duh
>>214746153>Favourite CharacterDesmond, Locke, Ben, Juliet, or Hurley. I was always hyped for those episodes>Least favourite characterEarly season Jack is just kind of bland to me but I loved what they did with his character in the later season. >Something to do with aliens or maybe it was to test them since a nuclear accident had happened outside the world and the island was just mentally preparing everyone for survival when they got back to mainland>Favourite season1, 3, or 5>I always sided with Locke even if they were both kind of insufferable >The Swan or The Flame were both incredibly comfy and I'd like to live in both>Whatever the Smoke Monster was and why the island had weird healing properties I was pretty invested in both of those>I feel like they could've done something interesting with Jacob and Aaron being the same person especially since they introduced time skips in season 5
>>214747775>>Favourite character?>Mr. Eko>>What did you feel was the most wasted potential on the show?>Mr Eko's story duhHe got a kino death, refused to apologize for all his actions and said it was the best he could do with the choices presented to him his whole lifeAlso the reason for his exit from the show was he hated the place and the racism in the writers room wasnt helping
Do (You) have a constant? Something that's stayed unchanged from 2004 to present day?
>>214747837i still have HIV
>>214747835>He got a kino deathYes, but we could have had him for all the seasons.>Also the reason for his exit from the show was he hated the place and the racism in the writers room wasnt helpingKek what is this bullshit? He had family members that were sick and didn't like traveling to Hawaii all the time. He didn't hate the place, it was just too far away for him.
>>214747837yeah im constantly jackin off

>>214747927>S1E4 WalkaboutThe episode that really made me think I was watching something special.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViqL8qKcHcw
Boone is insufferably attractive and it maddens me that I do not look like him.
>characters who did literally nothing wrong and no argument can be made against them that doesn't include the word "nigger"
>>214748114Do you at least look like Sawyer? If so there's hope for you yet.Or are you basically Hurley?
>>214748122he's a nigger - ah fuck!
>>214748122He yells too much, he shot Libby, he brought Walt on the raft to begin with
>>2147478374chan you’re my constant<3
>>214748224How pathetic...For me too
After they leave the island for the 1 time the show should have some form of ending. Instead they double down on the mystery that never get resolve. There is at least 100 of unsolved things and im not even counting flashback from real life.
>>214748154Oh yeah, Sawyer too. Same deal. God damnit. What an ubermenschI look closest to Jack's son but haggard and mid thirties
>>214746153>>Favourite character?Lock, Jack, Sawyer, Echo, Sayid, also like Michelle Rodriguez, it was a shame how they had wasted her. Honestly, thinking about it, I liked the entire cast of characters. >>Least favourite characterShannon, probably >>What did you think the island actually was?I didn't remember having any theories, but I thought it should be something either science fictional or mystical, but like people with abilities mystical (Walt), not ancient evil retardation mystical. >>Favourite episode?1) Probably the episode in which they fight Ethan, he also hangs Charlie in it. I was sitting on the edge of my seat the entire episode, it was tense. 2) The episode from season 2 where they show what happened to the people in the tail. 3) The episode in which someone grabbed Sun and it turned out to be Charlie had stuck with me. It was a great twist, imho. >>Favourite season?1 to 3, with 1 being the best, probably. >>Team Jack or Team Locke? It's rational against irrational, man, and I can't say what side I would choose if I were in that situation. Probably stick to Jack, but I can see myself surrender to magical thinking and joining Locke. >>Favourite DHARMA stationSwan, although I don't remember much about it>>What mystery intrigued you most? The smoke monster, duh. Also how are the Others are so... inhumane. >>What did you feel was the most wasted potential on the show?Walt's plotline was such a big deal in season 1, and it ended up nothing.
WAAAAAAALT
>>214747517Claire is a shit character, I can't believe they brought her back after she disappeared.
>>214748702Still better than Kate, Katefag.

>>214746153>Favorite CharacterBen or Daniel Faraday>Least favorite characterLocke>What did you think the island actually was?Just an island with some insane electromagnetic anomaly that makes weird shit possible>Favorite episode? The whole show kind of blends together for me. I enjoyed Desmond's and Richard's backstory episodes I guess.>Favorite seasonProbably 3>Team Jack or team LockeJack, begrudgingly>Favorite DHARMA stationThe Pearl>What mystery intrigued you the most?Probably Richard Alpert's agelessness.>What did you feel was the most wasted potential on the show? For characters, Ana Lucia and Mr. Eko. For storylines, the whole prophecy about Claire's kid
>>214746153>Favourite character?Hurley hands down.>Least favourite characterIt would be between Charlie or Michael>What did you think the island actually was?I was hoping for some mystical place that actually existed within our world kinda like the bermuda triangle>Favourite episode? From what I remember either the golf or van episode>Favourite season?1>Team Jack or Team Locke?I'd go with Locke>Favourite DHARMA stationI don't really remember them all except for the first couple we see early on, I guess the bunker>What mystery intrigued you most? The numbers>What did you feel was the most wasted potential on the show? There was so much that was left unanswered or I felt just had unsatisfactory explanations but if I had to pick one that stands out the most it would be the numbers. Them just being only what they had to put into the computer was incredibly disappointing to me.
>>214746153>>Favourite character?Locke and Sayid>>Least favourite characterMichael or Claire>>What did you think the island actually was?A place of magic. Dharma measured lots of electromagnetism, but I thought that was merely another property of this magical place.>>Favourite episode?I don't remember individual episodes super well. It's not my favorite, but I really liked the ending a lot, so that's up there.>>Favourite season?Probably season 1. 1 through three are omega kino. 4 and 5 were a little rough, but I thought they brought it back decently well with season 6. Nothing touches 1-3 though>>Team Jack or Team Locke?I was team Locke for sure. I wanted him to succeed and be vindicated so badly. If I was there I'd go with Jack (I would have assumed the button was just nonsense), but as a viewer I'm team locke.>>Favourite DHARMA stationI like the hydra>>What mystery intrigued you most? The smoke monster. The numbers. Alpert's immortality.>>What did you feel was the most wasted potential on the show?I feel like Claire and the being born on the island thing was a big stinker.

>>214749079Wait, I change my wasted potential answer to Sayid. What a disappointing end to his arc. >>214748975Faraday was annoying as fuck. I hated his gay little soft affect when speaking. I found him compelling only when they did the flowers for algernon reveal.
>>214746993We have to go back, Anon! We have to go back!
>>214749065How in the world is Hurley your favorite? I suppose he is the "best person" of all the major characters, but even then Rose+Bernard are better people than he is. Hurley is really just a useless fuck.
>>214749239His episodes were always memorable and wacky as hell. He was even friends with DJ Qualls.
>>214749239Hurley was the heart of the show
AWhat a waste of potential
What was the creepiest moment in the show for you?
>>214749065what as left unanswered ? I will answer friend
.
>>214749340>Only the thing is... we're gonna have to take the boy.
>>214749322>>214749305I feel like the writers had a specific plan for Hurley but it involved the actor losing weight and he refused to so then they just spent the later seasons shitting on him.
>>214746153Network TV just doesn't even remotely try now. It's like they don't want people watching their channels. >What did you feel was the most wasted potential on the show?Desmond and Walt. Both had enormous potential that was sort of down-played, and in the case of Walt, thrown down the memory-hole entirely.
>>214749644There was never any long-term potential with Walt. They were committed to the survivors being on the island for only like 100 days and the actor was growing like aweed.
Here it is you fuckshttps://youtu.be/lMjPzV2RvO8?si=SRWqQSxnbCM0xNyhnow shut the fuck up about the ending
>>214749476>when "Jacob's" empty hut suddenly has a guy in a chair in it
>>214749724Walt had mysterious powers that were never developed because they cast a Black kid who'll grow to six feet tall by age 14
>tfw locke'd out again
>>214749340>Are they still alive?
>>214749981Why didn't they just write his mysterious power was accelerated aging?
>>214750064that would be stupid
>>214750327Because all their other ideas were so sensible?
>>214746153>Favourite character?Mr. Eko. Kino back story and the Others (TM) were afraid of him. >Least favourite characterJack. Daddy issues the character, and claimed to not wanna be leader then became itAnd im Team Locke, easily. Jack should've been the smoke monster.
Six seasons and they never bothered to fix the shoddy edges on the title graphic. I guess it's okay because I somehow never noticed it once over the course of the show's initial air run but something about it is just hilarious to me now.
why did all of the others except for Ben just suddenly disappear at the end of S3
>>214750529Why did the other 60 plane survivors suddenly all get shot to death with flaming arrows?
>>214746153>>What did you feel was the most wasted potential on the show?your pic related, all that setup about him, man of faith, hunter, in touch with the island, etc..., felt utterly wasted
>>214749122I don't even need to download it to know its A:10 V:10
fags wasted their time watching a "they were dead the whole time lol" show
>>214750709that's not how it ended tho
>>214750739still in denial, how sad
>>214750709They weren't dead the whole time. It's just that as they died some stayed on the island and others crossed over, but in the end as they all woke up to their past lives after they all had died, found their way to each other, and crossed int Heaven together. Plus Eko never came back even though he was a total badass because the actor who played him demanded too much money.
>>214750772kys
>>214750878>they died but not really but they were dead and went to Heavenlol
>>214749340When you find out Henry Gale was dead the whole time
how the fuck has it been 21 years? holy shit
>>214747511Because they weren't in heaven yet. It was a purgatory.
>>214750899>Hurley lives 9000 years overseeing the island >has to fuck around purgatory in order to go to heaven with some literally who’s from 2004
>>214750906Within the afterlife they start off not remembering their past lives except for small traces, but they slowly "wake up" through encounters with each other. From there they all reunite, go to a church, and cross into Heaven together. It's not hard to understand.
>>214750934The Hatch with Ben was absolute peak back then. Was such a joy to watch and wait for the episodes.
Lost will always be special to me. Me and my mom watched every episode when they aired from start to finish together.
>>214751068>"THE SMOKE MONSTER IS A VELOCIRAPTOR!"Yeah I remember LOST /TV/
>>214746153Reminder this show came out right after WW2 and most of the male cast were veterans of the D Day landing. That's why the beach scenes were so realistic.
>>214751096I rewatched it with my mom for her first time after she got diagnosed with cancerino and watching people watch the show for the first time when you know the twists are coming is so enjoyable lmfao
>>21474990515 years and I’ve never seen this. Thanks anon.
>>214751134Hope your mom is doing better anon
>>214751134>>214751096Network TV will never be this good again. They're not even trying. It's all the same "cop dramas, medical dramas, lawyer dramas, and rescue dramas" that have clogged up their networks for decades. And they don't give a crap. All the best shows are on cable or streaming, and network isn't even trying to compete even though network has more viewers and larger market growth capabilities. I don't get it at all, but at any rate it means you're not missing watching anything on network when something else good comes on elsewhere. So when I'm channel-surfing, I don't even drop down to the area where all the local network station channels are. There's no fucking point.
>>214747376Same, shame she never went on to do anything interesting afterwards.
>fans complaining you’re still fat>they write this subplot humiliation ritual
>>214746153Lost threads were great, even in the few years after the finale.
>it's a Kate episode
>>214751316>The actor refused to lose weight, so they had to write in excuses for why he stayed so massive. That's the only real shit part among the cast except for Kate being annoying.
>it's a Kate episode during a rewatch binge
>>214751218Idk why streaming has kept up the “dump all episodes in a single day so people can binge” model. Seems like the format is tailor made for drumming up hype in real time. Episodes wouldn’t even need to be weekly. Drop them whenever they’ll get the show trending or at the end of a marketing campaign
>>214749340>help me
>>214751037you could shoehorn that into literally any show about living peopleit's completely pointless to any plotit only works for some type of "reunion" season because it has 0 relevance outside of characterthe only people it satisfies are parasocial people more obsessed with the characters than any plot
>>214751422There is space for some show to do a sporadic upload schedule, but it would really need to deliver, and it would really need the hype to do a lot of the work. Honestly I'd love to see it, but it couldn't ever be a common thing. The problem right now is that we don't get any consistent '22 episodes a year every year for 5 years' schedule with 'prestige TV'. LOST built up it's show lore and fandom vibe very effectively in this format. /tv/ threads were insane during that era, peak /tv/.
>>214751032I don't think that any protector after Jacob gets to be ageless. Hurley recruited Walt after the show ended to replace him eventually.
By far the most impressive thing about LOST was the way it managed the ensemble cast. They killed people off regularly and when the actors came back via flashback/forward/sideways/ghost it didn't feel weird or forced.
>>214751657Except Boone who’s hairstyle was always different for some reason
I always thought Bonnie from the Looking Glass hatch was hella underrated and pretty hot.
>>214752119>underratedshe was in the show for all of 10 minutes
It’s telling that a show over 20 years old looks better than streamslop
Did Boone and Shannon... you know?

i miss 2004

>>214753676
>>214746153It’s strange how other 2000s era shows like House, The Office and Dexter have found a second wind on streaming. Yet LOST seems to have been, well, lost to time. You know it’s bad when there’s an IP that even Disney won’t try and resurrect.
>>214754186It’s one of those things that only works the less information you have about it
>>214754186It was a creature of it's time. The absolute best LOST experience was following it as it came out and getting involved in the online fandom. Rewatching it is fine for nostalgia and memberberries, and I've heard it's quite good as a binge watch for people who have never seen it, but you won't ever get the original experience again. New shows don't have the same media environment, so it's not likely for a new show to scratch the same itch either.
>>214754259>>214754420True. LOST was the first show to have memes and online discussion generated in real time. It also aired during a time where the internet was a physical place and not something you carried with you in your pocket. I have more nostalgia of the 2005 internet landscape than I do the show.

In my honest humble anonymous opinion, LOST was the biggest wasted potential of a real-world show with subtle blended paranormal/sci-fi elements.
>>214749340Ethan's creepy fucking stare right before kidnapping Claire
Should've had some aliens in it
>>214757139Sorry you feel that way. One of my favorite shows of all time.
One key aspect of Lost that could never be replicated in a reboot is that the flight survivors were trully diverse and represented pretty much 90% of humanity. A new Lost show would cast 90% of the survivors as the strangest looking purple haired, multi-gendered, mentally ill motherfuckers available. Even the heckin pocerinos in Lost were nice characters.
>>214757512Sorry you're accepting of non-answers, cop-outs, lies, and writing-as-you-go-along.

I tried twice to get into that show and it didn't take. I don't like gimmick television I guess. And years of being spoiled by great cable doesn't do network slop any favors.

wife and I started our rewatch last year, watching on the dates it aired. We just started s2 this week.yes we've seen it before but for her it's been 20 years
I did my rewatch during covid lockdown. I literally cried during season 1, not because it was sad or because I felt a sense of nostalgia towards the show. But because of how good it was compared to the absolute crap I've been fed by modern media for over a decade at that point. How the hell did we lose the ability to make good stuff like this.

>>214758457It's because he was born on the Island. But yeah, Smokey was connected to all the water within the island. Maybe because of this its what messes with peoples enhanced shit on the Island.
So if Eko lived I'm thinking it would've been something along these linesDesmond=dead at the hatch explosionEko=takes Desmonds place as the guy who travels through time Intense rivalry with Locke over control of the island Locke=becomes more of a man of science I guess in this scenario after the hatch blows up mirroring Jack going from unbeliever to believer Jack=guy in the coffin instead of Locke his role mirrors Christians when the second plane lands on the island His body is taken over by the Smoke Monster instead of LockeEko would have also been the one to guide them to the church instead of Desmond
I swear the general public STILL thinks the plottwist of the show is "They all died during the plane crash and they were dead all along".How are people so fucking retarded? Everytime I bring up the show with colleagues that watched it while it was airing seems to believe in some version of it.
>>214764235Well, it didn’t help that the writers spent half of the final season mocking that.
>>214764213Eko’s actor must’ve been caught fucking little boys or something because all the reasons given for leaving the show (asking to be killed off) and not being in the finale (wanting more money) reads like a humiliation ritual

In this age of capeshit, sci-fi and fantasy saturation, I look back to stuff like Lost and I find amazing how they made average people wearing common clothes into larger than life characters, pretty much superheroes.
>>214766884Locke gives you a weird vibe in the first episode, especially as they’re playing up the black/korean race stuff
Best TV ever made. Game of Thrones and Twin Peaks can suck my nuts. Lost will forever be the pinnacle of tv
Bros I got my friend to start watching season 1. I hope he likes it and sticks with it. I'm pretty sure he'll finish season 1 because I "challenged" him to watch it. I'm so excited I get to experience it vicariously again. I always got peeved we see people lying down in the jungle, hiding in tree hollows, and crouching in bushes but they're not instantly swarmed by 74 thousand creepy insects. Only in the shitty nikki and paulo episode do we even see any bugs. Irl that shit would be a nightmare.
>>214746153>Locke shows up looking wise and mystical >he was literally an incel who fell in love with a phone sex workerWhat the fuck did they mean by this?
Will we ever get another show where the whole country is making theories about what’ll happen next? I feel like that time was so fucking magical and I don’t think it can ever be replicated.
>>214746153Two episodes into my rewatch that began on the 22nd and I’m absolutely loving it.>Favourite character?Impossible to choose but picrel is definitely one of them.>Least favourite characterOf the main cast, Michael>What did you think the island actually was?Abandoned government experiment zone gone haywire (not too far off to a degree)>Favourite episode? Also hard to choose, but Through the Looking Glass definitely blew my mind the hardest.>Favourite season?1&2. >>214768148>Will we ever get another show where the whole country>Whole countryBro it was the whole WORLD. I had a Russian long distance girlfriend back then and I was translating English internet theories back into Russian for her to blow her mind.
>>214768061I always thought the tonal dissonance between locke as a competent mystic and Locke as a sad man was kinda weird too. I guess the man of faith thing lands better when you see what he's gone through prior to the crash.
>>214768732Might make more sense if you view Locke as an isekai protag lol that is transplanted to another world.
Why did they retcon the rape storyline? They were continuously hinting towards one of the survivors being a rapist predator planning to assault the women, but that plotline was just randomly dropped.

>>214770663Enjoy it anon. Make some threads every now and then
Unironically put on the Pilot before seeing this thread, i'm ready to go back. Also, question: Would LOST still be as well loved and remembered of a series today if the island was just normal and hard to find?

Lost died when Locke died. Also the Man in Black retcon was abysmal.
>>214772062Touché

Why did the others not trust the survivors again? I remember they sent Ethan to spy on them to figure out if they were dangerous. But could they not have talked that shit out after some point. Seems like just pointless conflict.

>>214746520
>>214773874You know what’s the most fucked up thing about Kate? There’s like 3 times (I kept count once) where a character is being given CPR and Kate is screaming>stop! It’s over! >>214774041Season 4 got fewer episodes as a result of the strike but it's a better run than season 3 by far.
>>214773873The second half of Season 3 is arguably the highlight of the entire show. It's worth watching, anon.
>>214774155Season 5 is great. Season 6 is only good if you are in the mood for the direction the story was going to end up before the finale. If not, sure it's trash.
Main villain should've been Aaron in the end who turned bad because of not following the Prophecy of being raised by Claire. They had the perfect opportunity to separate them during the time skips, Aaron gets lost in time, he's found in the bushes by some crazy random woman in the past who makes him the immortal protector of the island. We still get Jacob but his origins are different, he's not the brother of MIB but the Smoke Monster would've wound up being something entirely different. Or maybe he was originally selected to be island protector but grew jealous over the attention that Aaron/Jacob was receiving and an argument broke out between them that led to Aaron accidentally killing his adoptive brother .>>214774045Funny you should say that the paranormal stuff is what made me invested in it >>214773972You watch from episode one all the way to The End. It's worth it.>>214773984I find early season 3 a total chore probably because that's when the writers strike were happening and I still have PTSD to those times but I found the middle and end of 3 really payed off well. Once they get off Hydra island is when I find things pick back up.
>>214774155>>214774196The latter of Season 3 has "Flashes Before Your Eyes", "The Man From Tallahassee", "The Man Behind the Curtain", "The Brig", "Greatest Hits", and Through the Looking Glass".It's literally the peak of the entire show.

Lost never nosedived like GOT did in later seasons. I'd argue further that the finale was better than GOT's finale even if it was very controversial and lazy.
>>214773951She’s a bloodthirsty murderer, what do you expect.
>>214774401GOT's biggest problem was that everyone just became retarded when the plot needed them to toward the end. For whatever narrative shortcomings Lost had its characters' actions and motives remained consistent at the very least.
>>214774401Did you memoryhole the sixth season? I remember how excited I was as a teen to find out more about Jacob and MIB and when they got to their backstory episode, it was just so... boring

It was a fun episode.>Favourite season?1 for the purpose of getting me into the show. But special props to S5 for the entire past-DHARMA plot stuff, with Sawyer settling in. I like how it handled the mysteries from a dedicated focus organization's perspective, also trying to capitalize on them.>Team Jack or Team Locke?Locke, at least for the parts where the writer's weren't character sabotaging him.>Favourite DHARMA stationThe Orchid>What mystery intrigued you most?Egyptian tie-ins (disappointed)>What did you feel was the most wasted potential on the show?Psychics, people with powers (Walt, the aussie fortune teller, the Japanese guy who the smoke monster couldn't approach, Claire's baby). It set up that there are mysteries in this world, and there are places of special power (like the aussie healing node), and the Island is just one of those. But by like S4 or S5 all of that was gone. They even brought back Walt briefly without even hinting at his odd death field that was a seasonal climax point beforehand. By the end, nothing mattered but the Island itself.

it's pretty crazy how they managed to weave a storyline of the fact they were their in the first place is because of the time travel in later seasons.. that's the only reason Jacob was interested in the main folk. That was pretty "clever" lol.
Really they should have realized that the island was magic immediately since it was easily big enough to show up on a globe.
