>just be tall and rich and handsome and never let her lift her finger to do anythingAh I see now I understand the key to successful romance
>>214755428That’s not what happened
>>214755428>just swallow your own cum, let her cuck you and then steal her dad's company out from under her and her dipshit brothersAh I see now I understand the key to successful romance
>>214755428And lo! The autism of women...https://youtu.be/b2Z_LEa5TsE?si=gvwtAG-rDSNksCHs
>>214755485toasty roastie
He was autistic as shit and bad at talking to women like they’re people so he’d probably fit in very well around here
>>214755532Many years later I still don't get it. I once accidentally grabbed a woman's hand in the subway. I pulled away but she tried to grab my hand. It reminds me of this scene.
>>214755669They want you to fist their pussy
>>214755428I'm always happy to see this film discussed. The closeup of Darcy's hand is to show both how unusual it was to have physical contact with a woman not related to him, and also (as director Joe Wright has said repeatedly), he is literally offering Elizabeth his hand when proposing marriage. Brilliant film that I was happy to see several times recently during a museum retrospective.
>>214756256LOL. Wrong pic. That was from Atonement, another film I saw several times during the recent retrospective. Here's the one I meant to post. I love this scene. Gorgeous natural light.
>>214755532Why does that make her autistic? Any single woman in that time would be surprised phyical contact by any male that wasn't a relative.
>>214757489What's the point of those shoes if the shot is mid body length? You won't even need the rug to hide the sounds of his shoes because it's unnecessary for him to wear them.
>>214756284Is Atonement worth watching? I like Pride & Prejudice but his Anna Karenina adaptation was awful
>>214755530YesWomen find that really hot
>>214757984Personally I think Atonement is brilliant (both the film and the book). I've never liked the story of Anna Karenina but I thought his choice to make her life literally theatrical was very interesting and very appropriate given it's basically a soap opera. It's easily my least favorite of Keira's films with Joe Wright, even I thought she herself was brilliant in it. Also I loved her costumes and the set design, the costume designer said it was meant to be a blend of true to period and the Dior's "new look" of the late 40s/50s.
>>214757574In other shots his boots are visible (when he follows her outside, and also maybe when he is first seen by Elizabeth as Georgina is playing the piano).
>>214757489>Why does that make her autistic?Scroll down to the comments, Anon
>>214758239The meta-theatrical style of Anna Karenina absolutely did not fit at all considering it's a lengthy realist novel. If he did a Shakespeare adaptation it would've been cool but not Anna Karenina.
>>214755669The point is:She thinks he hates her.But then he assists her stepping up into the carriage and she reflexively uses that assistance before she can think about how much she dislikes him.She never thought he would willingly physically touch her and it makes her reconsider his personality and their relationship dynamic. All this context makes the very small physical act feel more emotionally important to her, so she's thinking about her hand. (Also to note, the blonde sister and her suitor don't ruminate over their hands because they already had a relationship where they'd understand touching each other, there's nothing to think about for them)Then when she's thinking about how this little contact apparently meant so much for her, she looks at his hand and you can see he's flexing it, indicating that even though he's quickly walking away as if nothing happened he too is thinking about how important that physical touch was.
>>214757984Definitely worth seeing, though both my sister and her husband have still not forgiving me for recommending it. Still, prime Keira and some fantastic eye candy in the first part of the film. Too bad the webm ends before we get to watch her storm off in that wonderfully wet clinging outfit.
>>214758869One of the best films to show sexual attraction/tension and yet the characters only actually touch each other once before they end up a couple. Crazy good shit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lvl9TVYe2E8
>>214756256>>214756284>>214759864Watch the 1995 miniseries of PandP starring Colin Firth. It's also very well done although not as cinematic obviously , but the character stuff is way more developed as there's a lot more of the book in it
>>214755669happened to me with a bartender recently too. i'm usually good with women but bartenders are famous for faking interest it caught me off guard
>>214755428you missed the point of the movie. i love this movie it slaps. girl kino every dude should watch it to get what makes pussies wet
>>214760209Yes, it's got some great aspects for sure. That's true for all the P&P versions I have: the 1940 and 2005 theatrical movies and the 1980 and 1995 BBC miniseries. Ironically, I'm watching episode 1 of the 1980 miniseries right now. Of these 4 versions, it has the only that gets Mr Bennett right (he's a cold-hearted SOB in the book).
>>214760346>every dude should watch it to get what makes pussies wetI'm sure that was Jane Austen's intention in writing the book. Lol.
>>214759731>Too bad the webm ends before we get to watch her storm off in that wonderfully wet clinging outfit.Very sexy scene. And of course we get to see it twice from two POVs so that's all to the good.
>>214755669The forearm and the hand represent the shaft and head of a cock. Ever noticed how women fawn over veiny forearms? They're phallic symbols. He's flexing his pulsating phallus as he walks away from her right after demonstrating its strength and stability.
>>214758869It's not really hate. She thinks he's an arrogant ass that can't be bothered with her either because she's too plain or too poor.
>>214764052True, though it's more that she thinks Darcy thinks he's too good for everyone in Meryton rather than specifically she's not good enough. When he's talking to Bingley at the first assembly ball, he insults all the women present, not just Elizabeth.
>>214757984Atonement is great, one of the best of the 2000s.
>>214755428>that's handsome in the UK
>>214755428unironically a great film though. very pretty film.
>>214755428Buddy it was like that for thousands of years
>>214760346>just be rich and handsome lol
>>214764611Agreed. It got a very small initial release so I missed it then but discovered in a few years later and couldn't believe how good it was. I thought the book would be very difficult to adapt into a film but Joe Wright did a great job. I think that's the first time I really noticed how good James McAvoy is also. I already liked Keira but James and Saoirse were great discoveries.
>reeeeeee why do i have to be not broke and good looking to attract beautiful women! it's not fair!lol seriously?
>>214759731mmmm a little boy so hot. are you all fags?
>>214758239Why are women so evil?
